Monday Monday. Covering for the Brendons because they worked all night. Son has gone home to sleep while DH is still at the practice, where he has been for almost 30 hours straight! After 16 hours the day before. I told him it was a good thing, it is a cardiology practice, since he is going to stroke out on me! I might be getting frustrated with him. They were doing all the work over the weekend because heaven forbid the doctors miss one patient visit, but it was totally unreasonable to do the amount of work involved on that time schedule. It wasn't like they could throw more people at it since they had a construction crew plus 3-4 IT people doing the weekend work.
eta: he is on his way home - had to pull over because of a cramp in his leg! Grrr
Yikes! That's just unreasonable. His own well being is important. It took me a long time to learn that.
It's a hard lesson, but at 61, he needs to learn it! He's home but has had to get up from bed twice already due to cramps in his legs.
I empathize hard with that. Keeping well hydrated and well-magnesiumed enough are my daily challenges, and when I fail on either, the cramps at night go from mildly annoying to absolutely excruciating and also hourly. Shudder.
His legs are so huge that the cramps are horrific. I was all out punching his legs (per his request) to help get him where he could stand up. After he was able to walk off the last bout I told him it was nature's way of saying not to work 30 hours straight, on your feet. And I won't hesitate to remind him the next time he goes past 12 or so hours.
I just stalked Jesse on the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament board, so I will brag on her behalf -- she finished top third (!) again, AND at a higher rank by 10 slots against 100 more people this year than last.
Kudos, Jesse!!
yeah, wow, good for Jesse!
My legs are tight so leg cramps can be a real part of my life.
I haven't found an effective way to stop them yet. No fun for sure.
