What a great idea, askye!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That sounds fun, askye.
Dinner turned out fantabulous. I'm definitely making it again and asking localistas over (it makes tons). As it is, venison stew is probably in my future, which is perfectly fine. It was very much a "food of my people" kind of meal, as Grandpa use to grow rutabaga and hunt deer on his farm in the UP (upper peninsula of MI).
I wish I knew this stuff was going to be on clearance otherwise I'd told every body to try to get to Michael's but it all happened today (I think). I knew the XMas stuff was 90% off but not this stuff.
This morning one of the supervisors kept showing me stuff - "this is $3! you should buy it!" or "look what I found -- it's 7 cents!"
There was also coupon good on sale prices and some people got pissy they couldn't use it on clearance.
Do you ever have a hard time with headaches at work, askye? I walk into Michael's (or Hobby Lobby or A.C. Moore) and it's instaheadache because of all the candle and potpourri smells.
Good call on the sale, stuff, though! That's a great idea for winter.
I don't have too much of a problem. Well, I don't have the most acute sense of smell so that helps, but the potpourri and candles are not close to the registers.
The only issue I had was the scented pinecones and that was only a problem when I had to ring up more than 1 bag (one time it was 5 or 6) and they smelled like...cinnamon I think.
But I mostly stay at the register, unless it's slow and I'm either putting returns back or straightening the store.
I did almost all the dishes, opened and dealt with my mail backlog, and hung up the damp clothes. That's enough being an adult for one night; besides, it's time for bed. Oh weekend, why must you always leave me? I'll miss you so.
You people were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more productive than me today. I never got out of my indoor clothes. DH made eggs, pancakes, bacon and hashbrowns for brunch, and that was all she wrote. Food coma for the rest of the day.
Welcome to the world, Sammy! Congratulations, Stephanie, Ellie and Frisco!
Oh, that sounds like a good breakfast! I made dinner and we watched the last 2 eps of American Horror Story, and then I worked for two hours.
I must go to bed soon.
-t, thanks for the heads up on Downton Abbey! I hope I have a productive day tomorrow, so I can watch them tomorrow night!
Huh. I'm a freakin' freelancer; I suppose I could watch them all tomorrow morning, and then be productive. It seems wrong, somehow. I never watch TV during the day.
Finished the rough draft of my index about 11:30 pm. Now have through Thursday to turn it into the final version.

I'm sitting here awake at 4am, thinking how awful I'm gonna feel at 9am when I'm supposed to start work. I could sleep in; who's gonna know? But I still feel vaguely guilty if I'm not at my laptop from 9am to 5pm, despite that I'm often working at 9pm, or midnight, even.
I have the TV on during the day, but not anything I have to really pay attention to. Top Gear and Kitchen Nightmares, usually.
