I bet a good mushroom gravy would be delicious on meatballs
A stronagoff-y kind of flavor would be great, yeah. (The traditional Swedish meatball cream sauce is just white sauce made with meatball drippings. And since these are frozen meatballs, I have no drippings!)
(Don't tell anyone I used cream of mushroom soup to make the sauce instead of putting on pants and buying mushrooms, k?)
Had my first cataloging class this morning. I'm a bit meh on the subject matter, but since it's a required class, I gotta take it. (I was surprised to find out that UofI's MLS program, one of the top 3 in the country, doesn't require a cataloging class.)
Two cool things about the class: the teacher's manner reminds me of my favorite undergrad prof--a bit abrupt, but very forthright and this guy has an even drier sense of humor than the prof at Marquette did. And the other thing is that my classmates sound pretty darn interesting. Got the standard mix of just-got-their-BAs 22 year olds, later-in-their-20s people who've figured out that an MLS would be a better choice than their first degree/current drone job, those of us 40somethings who are looking for a second/third career (or better pay in our current one), and one standout, a lady in her early 60s who is on her third work-till-retirement job and is auditing this class because her MLS degree dates back to 1970 and cataloging is completely different in the computer age.
Oh, and her first work-till-retirement job was as the library director for the public library system on St. Lucia in the Caribbean!! Apparently, people who spend their working lives in tropical paradise retire to Grim-Lower-Middle-Class-Suburb, Illinois.

Well, that kind of makes sense. Enjoy the sun and surf young, and move back to winter when all you want to do is read, watch movies and drink tea.
So, they finally got me -- I ordered the new-version Domino's for the first time, and I like it less! Good to know. Of course, I also have better delivery pizza here, so I'm going say Never Again.
Jesse, I've found the new crust is way too distractingly flavoured. The deep dish pizza is not actually deep dish and is much tastier. But I still haven't found good local delivery yet.
ITA on the crust. It makes me not want to eat it for breakfast.
The only chain pizza I like anymore is the Pizza Hut Thin Crust. That was yummy.
Unrelated to pizza (or anything else), the thing I like least about parenting these days? The smell of teenage boys' feet. My god. TOXIC.
ALSO I am now the owner of a fire extinguisher!
