Out. For. A. Walk. ... Bitch.

Spike ,'Selfless'

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And not to worry about the ethnicity of your mates making you a terrible Indian - say rather that the qualities you value in friends are not culturally-specific. And since MOST people in America are not Indian, that means that your chances of finding cool people who are nonIndian is pretty high. Alternatively, you are being a bold and intrepid explorer, willingly hanging out with the gori girls and boys regardless of their lack of Indianocity. Or something.

Yeah, all I hear from my dad is that Indians aren't bad people. Because I've clearly made it a point not to make Indian friends. My one Indian friend being the exception that proves the rule.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think "tom" is soup. "yum" is maybe coconut milk?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Thinking about seeing if coworker can go over it with me and then I can figure the rest of it out myself.

I've never had any formal training, and go years between using it for anything, but I've always found Visio remarkebly easy to use. Among other things, it doesn't try to outthink you like so many Microsoft products (Word bullets and numbering, I'm looking at you!), but I also find it very intuitive.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

(Is this where I mention that Donald Fagen was my uncle's college roommate and I've had lunch with him? Name-dropping, it's what's for breakfast!)

I am listening to Steely Dan right now in my office AIFG.

Also, yay JZ and jobage!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Not it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But you know, soup is good food.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks Frank & vw. Imma talk to her over lunch then and see if she wants to dump it off her plate and onto mine.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I think that 'tom' is soup, and 'yam' means...er, probably sour/spicy, thinking about the context in which it tends to show up. (Tom Kah Gai = mild coconut chicken soup. Tom Yam Gung = Hot & sour shrimp soup. Yam Talay = Hot & Sour Mixed seafood salad.) Pet means spicy, so...hmm. I'm thinking maybe hot-and-sour?

But my Thai is SHIT. I'm very unmotivated - it's just so bloody tricky. My Arabic - hell, my Romanian, which I've never really learned & haven't had occasion to speak for over ten years - is a damn sight better than my Thai.

(ion, two days later I still think that the whole LOLita thing is funnier than a very fucking funny thing from the planet Hysteria. I also sort of want to make LOLCindys, for my awesome kid Cindy, who speaks in LOLcatspeak. 'I can haz cookie?' is very Cindy sentence, bless her.)
