"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am not going to be disappointed that kat apparently does not read my posts.

I have been blocked by kat!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

More like kat is a skipper and a skimmer.

Or maybe my brain just did not want to absorb the image of "Joey Potter IS Roxie Hart!" Yes, more likely it was that.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Oh, that was a FUN routine to start out with! Evan and Randi are very well matched.

Because books.

They're already my favorite couple. I think they were great, and man, jive *is* fun. It's related to swing, I guess?

It's weird for me, not knowing ANYTHING about dance, to hear Mary and Nigel's criticisms, because wow, I did not pick up on any of that.

Art Crawl!!!

We have a new Gordon Ramsey's The F Word tonight. (I'm not sure how "new" it is - but it is, I believe, new to the USA.)

I picked up on it a little, but Evan is such a strong partner and their unison was so good I was willing to let the rest go.

Not happy with that Shane Sparks routine. I do think the dancers fell down on the job, but I don't think it was that strong a choreography job, either. I'm left with a big pile of meh.

Damn. Doriana pulled out all the stops on that disco routine! And Brandon and Jeanette did a great job with it. Wowza! The lifts!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah. I'm starting to get some stuff, but sometimes I'm still really surprised with what they come out with.

Not on that first Shane Sparks number, though. That was a hot mess all the way around.

Because books.

I've missed a couple now, because my mother called. ::glares southward::

I've realized I also don't much about the different styles of dance. What is jazz, exactly? Like, how is it different than contemporary? Tempo and lines?
