She probably really doesn't like him in the way that you say "Bob annoys me, I can't quite put my finger on it, but ugh)" But they played it up for the cameras.

Much like the shirtless Neil and Danny equation. Although Joshua's tight pants did lead to some unfortunate moments for Nigel and Joshua's father and Joshua's father's behind that should just never have happened.

BWAH!

I cannot for the life of me remember who the choreographer was for those pieces.

an indian guy, as I recall (duh), but he was so cute by how excited he was. Okay, I googled, and it was Nakul Dev Mahajan

Last Night I went trolling on the interwebs looking for anything about the Mia hate-on for Brandon being fake drama for tv and sadly could not find anything.

I heard that Shankdaddy was on twitter and he said that what was aired wasn't even half of what actually went down. Apparently, Mia was amazingly nasty to Brandon. I think maybe part of it was for the drama effect, but for the most part I think Mia is just believing her own hype. She really only wants dancers that represent her own vision of "organic" dancers and so she shits on anyone who falls outside of that definition, no matter how good they are. Hence the hate on that she's had for not only Brandon and Natalie this season, but also for Mark last season, for Danny before him, going all the way back to Benji, any dancer who's had extensive training in other styles that don't match with her crunchy, earth mother, contemporary/lyrical vision for dancers. I'm sure if Alex had stayed on the show, she would have eventually hated all over him, too, and found him too disconnected from his emotions and not grounded enough due to his ballet background. Really unpleasant.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I found it interesting how Mia said she rarely likes female dancers.

she paints them all with the same brush - if you're not strong, throwing yourself all over the place, she doesn't like it. She wouldn't like a tentative male dancer either (not that I think that Branden isn't strong)

I still remember how mean she was to poor Heidi in Season 2. Now, Heidi was not my favorite dancer, but I thougth Mia was going to make the girl have a nervous breakdown. I think the woman is amazingly talented, but I find all the other parts of her aside from the great choreography to be for the most part insufferable.

Adam didn't specifically mention anything about the Mia/Brandon drama. he just mentioned to Nigel that they didn't show half of the drama that went down period.

he also said he doesn't know if he'll get to choreo this season because he's working on four movies (going the distance, the lady song, and step up 3D, plus bye bye birdie, Bon the musical, and sinbad the lost voyage according to his twitter).

I only knew about Step Up 3D, which will have to really bring it if it wants to top the brilliance that was Step Up 2 the Streets (one of the best final dance sequences ever!) but Bye Bye Birdie? Ooh. That's fun. And what is Bon, The Musical?

huh. also from imdb.

While a guest on NPR's "Fresh Air With Terry Gross" in July 2007, Shankman revealed to Gross that he did not start dancing until he was 18, which is very late for someone who intends to become a professional dancer. Furthermore, once he decided to become a dancer, he auditioned for college dance programs all over the country, including NYU, North Carolina, and Julliard (the most prestigious and selective dance program in the United States), and he got into all of them without ever once having taken a dance class.

that's awesome. he was destined to be a dancer.
