huh. also from imdb.
While a guest on NPR's "Fresh Air With Terry Gross" in July 2007, Shankman revealed to Gross that he did not start dancing until he was 18, which is very late for someone who intends to become a professional dancer. Furthermore, once he decided to become a dancer, he auditioned for college dance programs all over the country, including NYU, North Carolina, and Julliard (the most prestigious and selective dance program in the United States), and he got into all of them without ever once having taken a dance class.
that's awesome. he was destined to be a dancer.
Yeah, that is super late. Interesting.
Bon the musical: A singing dancing lawyer finds love with a philosopher, together they fight crime? Hee.
Yeah, I agree that Mia has her own personal vision of dance and the contestants must fit into it or die. She's like the opposite of Alex with his passion for all genres.
Needing everyone to be strong is such a fail for me. Strong dancers are awesome, don't get me wrong. But what about grace, elegance, passion? Strength just isn't the whole picture.
what moves you when you see dancing? that could be any number of things. Mia needs to get off her high horse.
Wow, that is CRAZY about Shankman and his late entry to dance! I'm so jealous. And...Step up *3D*?!!? Seriously? As in...wearing glasses so that the dancers POP OUT AT ME? Omg, the ultimate in cheese! I can't wait.
Also can't wait to get home and watch tonight, but am LIVING IN FEAR that the digital TV transition is going to rob me of the ability to use my TiVo, and cause me to miss half the dancing this year. EEEK!
So far, I think Cat's dress is sort of horribly awesome.
I love Kat Deely! "I've got new babies!" And her dress isn't as hideous as I thought it would be. Awwww I want to her her say jidges.
And speaking of Shankman - our first judge!
I think that the dress is really ugly. And it makes her look pregnant. Is she?
It's not as hideously ugly because at first I thought the whole thing was a spider web.
They changed the order of the judges normally it's Guest, Mary, Nigel.
And that was really great routine and she did really well.
Okay, for newbies, did one choreographer do all these routines? Did Adam do them? How does this work?
