Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, I was judgey about it too, but I still didn't like his attitude! Apparently I am rooting against someone after all...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Also, I kind of want to punch Victor in the face still, and am reminded of his smug, "I mean, who doesn't know Chekhov??"

He actually gained ground with me for that one because I was so aghast that nobody did.

(And it never occured to me that Luke would have that much trouble, but in retrospect it makes perfect sense - he can't "sound it out" in his head the way the other guessing teams could.)

Yeah, totally.

Well, that does up the stakes!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oh, and another thing I liked about yesterday's episode--the opening credits! This is the first time I've ever seen them put in shots from the first few legs for each team's introduction, which is a great idea.

I just found out that the nephew of a friend here is the logistical coordinator for Amazing Race. He can't share any information before it airs, but still - so cool.

WOW! That must be a hard but really fun job!

I'd love to hear his stories about past races. Like what really happened after the mom and son lost their passports and stuff last season.

I'd be good and not even ask for hints about the current one. At least, I would try to be good.

Will have to find a way to snag an invite next time he is in town.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

In previous races were the yields on non-elimination legs?

I felt sort-of bad that they basically had no chance whatsoever. I thought I remembered that it didn't usually have that huge an effect (beyond pissing the team off).

I still wish they wouldn't have stuff like that, unless it was regularly on every leg, like the fast forwards use to be.

That feels right to me -- I don't remember them being able to actually get a team out of the race with the yield.
