I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In previous races were the yields on non-elimination legs?

That feels right to me -- I don't remember them being able to actually get a team out of the race with the yield.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

They did in TAR12... the episode in Burkina Faso, Jason and Lorena were yielded by the blonds of that particular season, and got eliminated.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When the Yield was first introduced, it was almost exclusively used on non-elim legs, which I thought was dumb. Now there's an actual risk involved with being U-Turned.

(And I also like that it's anonymous now - obviously a plot on CBS's part to get it used more, but hey, whatever works!)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Saturday I was on the bus and we turned down one street and there was this MASS of people. Couldn't figure it out at first - everyone's looking out the window and speculating.

Auditions for the next (season 13?) ANTM. Line ran the length of one block and around the corner, down to the next street, bent back on itself for a block, around the corner adn down another block, then around the corner and out of sight. jeepers

My student assistant from last year (who was brilliant, unlike this year's chowderhead) auditioned. She was beautiful, smart, talented, etc. But, she was passed over for the transvestite. I SO wanted her to compete.

Transsexual, please!

Ha! I did wonder how Eva Pigford feels about that...

The playwright, Sophia.
