And I was amazed at how many of the teams had NO CLUE who Chekhov was.
Oh, yeah, I gathered that. dag, people! Not even Mike & Mel knew??? That's disappointing.
The most interesting thing for me was seeing how far behind the lawyer sibs got during Victor's forest trek--they were two hours behind the second-to-the-last group!
I thought Mel knew too.
Oh right, I forgot about Mel.
And I think one of the redheads knew too. . . or did she just guess?
The redhead guessed, and there was another team member who went through who was able to extrapolate since she knew a lot of Russian names ended in "ov".
I was amazed that woman didn't know Chekhov, but knew enough about Russian to get it on the first (?) try.
Also, I kind of want to punch Victor in the face still, and am reminded of his smug, "I mean, who doesn't know Chekhov??"

He is smug but I also have a hard time not being judgey about this too! (But, if I were in the race, I'd be happy about the other teams being ignorant!)

Me too. I had pretty much the same reaction, so I can't really blame him for the thought.
