I was waiting for this to happen, and now that it has I think I can stop watching.

but I wouldn't be surprised if the fit on that top was what made the difference between Terri and Korto.
yes. This.
Did anyone else see What Not to Wear with Tara Kirk, the Olympic swimmer? As Tim pointed out (but the judges did not, as far as I could tell) these women do not all have traditional women's bodies. Not just the swimmers, but think of any track and field athlete, especially those in the throwing events, or something like judo, which I believe is in the summer games. On WNTW, Tara was actually quite petite but had very prominent arms and shoulders, and feminine outfits were not her most flattering look. Just another reason Jennifer's cardigan and skirt thing would not have worked- those clothes would almost have looking like they were mocking the athleticism of the women's bodies.
But that leads me to my problem with all the winning outfits. White pants (or skort!?) on anyone besides the gymnasts? In my days of working at Nordstrom, I probably could get white pants onto 5% of my clintele, either because they wouldn't have looked good or just plain old would not have been comfortable with it. The panels on Korto's pants were intended to add a little big of structure, but I found them to be kind of see-through. I would have liked pants out of the pinstripe navy Terri used for her jacket, and then a white jacket instead. But maybe I'm taking this too literally, since no athletes will ever have to actually wear these clothes.
I do like Kenley's own clothes but she is starting to grate.

Yeah, didn't they specifically mention her size? Like she was a 2-4 on bottom, but her arms and shoulders meant she need an 8-10 on top?

amen. I wanted to like her, but she's annoying me.
Korto's outfit would have been a problem in real life because of the armholes, I think. Also, the first thing I thought when I saw it was "she needed to line those pants", which I would presume would be done in a finished product. Also, why have a male athlete judging female apparel?

This is one of the compelling things about Korto's top, actually, that arm and shoulder fittings for that group have got to be a herculean task. Also thighs, another plus for her look.
I may be going crazy, but I kind of liked Blayne's look this week. I don't know, the one shoulder, the way the stripes were positioned . . . I thought it was fun. It looked like something Charlie's Angels would wear to kick major amounts of Olympic ass.
Me too! I kind of thought he'd be a contender for top 3.

I think Michael Kors at least talked about them having athletic, muscular bodies.

Hahahah. I wonder if I can? Really I have it on while doing something labor intensive on the computer, like uploading all my Vegas pictures. I don't need to pay attention to it at all.
I also did not get the point of the guest judge. Surely they could have found a woman Olympian.
I"m just happy I did not have to listen to Suede this week. And that Jennifer is gone.
Mark and Chelsie!
Miss Debbie Allen!!
Step Up 3D!!!
Whoo to the Hoo.
I'll like the finale just for those three things alone.
Fuck, I love Shane Sparks stuff. We needed a hell of a lot more of it this year.
