Fuck, I love Shane Sparks stuff. We needed a hell of a lot more of it this year.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Now that's how you put it down. No storyline. No "lyrical hip hop". Just hard hitting goodness. All the kids looked great, even Kherington! Though I could've done with more Mark myself (but when couldn't I?).
Bollywood. Good choice, Nigel.
Courtney/Gev Rhumba, also a great choice.
OMG, I love Courtney and Gev together! Waaaah, I want them back!
That kid Robert is insane. And he destroyed Phillip. I'd still like to see Phillip on the show some day. I hope he comes back and tries out again next season.
Bring on the favorite dancers from seasons past! Also, if I don't get to see at least one Mark/Chelsie routine tonight, I will be very unhappy.
ETA: Aww, Shankdaddy kinda let me down with his pick. I mean, that Twitch/Comfort piece was cute, I guess. But there are so many others I'd rather have seen.
Ha! I love me some L'il C. And he picked Marksie's Bleeding Love!!! Hell yeah!
I think you're going to get your wish, kat!
I'm sorry, but Chelsie is a hellova lot better Latin dancer the MM.
OMG! Mary Murphy's body is insane. The woman is like fifty-leven million years old. And of course, Dmitri is smoking. That was so much fun. Oh, I knew it was coming but it was even more fun than I imagined. They should let more of the judges dance on the show.
Mia's pick. I knew I could count on her to bring it. This piece was brilliant. And Nekkid Will! Whoop whoop!
ETA: And Ha on Miss Debbie Allen whooping it up like a proud mama.
Shankdaddy: Mark/Courtney jazz. Bring it!
They did have some truly spectacular dances this season. It's nice to see them all in the same night.
Aww, Courtney's goodbye package brought a tear to the eye.
You know, there were a lot more really good dances than I remembered.
