Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

choreographers, yes. several have been former contestants. Travis, Benji, Pasha & Anya (I hate her blonde hair with the hate of 10,000 suns) shows up from time to time (he shows up when people have to do "choreography"), Lauren (much hated) shows up.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Shankman's demo rocked it! He won over the SO by not taking himself seriously. I was all, yeah, he is a serious artist so he can afford to not take himself seriously.

Everybody does arms to nowhere! Hahahaha! I probably did, too, back in the day.

Jesse, I don't know! I was worried when we hadn't seen him. I thought maybe his contract with the ballet wasn't up yet? Do we know? I need my hot ballet toy.

Thrive to spite them

Last season (I think it was last season) Shankman went up on stage and "auditioned" in front of some of the previous contestants.

He did the whole thing and even ran out screaming with his ticket Vegas.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Remember this summer when Shankdaddy danced the jive with that one auditioner who was, at best, a decent amateur jiver but you could tell she had fun with it? That was probably my favorite moment with him and the contestants.

Thrive to spite them

Was he the one who talked to the contestant who was torn between following dance and following her religious beliefs? That was a good moment.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Mary looked so jacked last night! In HD you can see where her botox shots were all popped out. Also the show was really good, lots of good dancers.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

thank goodness I don't have HD!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Mary is looking twelve ways busted this season. The weave is totally out of control in a horrendous way. And the bad botox means she can't even make the crazy Mary Murphy faces. At least she's toned down the aging hooker clothes.

Shankdaddy is made of awesome. Oh, arms to nowhere! I think I might hate you most of all.

You can't talk former contestants who now choreograph without mentioning Dmitry. The Lacey/Danny Samba is one of the best dances of all time. He's so good that he even helped NappyTab turn out a great group routine last season (Calle Ocho). Plus, he is a sexy mofo.

PR: Why did Peppermint Patty have to have immunity this week? I really, really want him gone.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OMG, the horrible racist is gone from Survivor! I was relieved to have that addressed, it was pretty awful last week.

Jaison is my reality TV Boyfriend. I loooooove him.

Also, Russell continues to show good gameplay instincts by not digging in on booting Ashley once he figured out which way the wind was blowing.

Also, what is up with there just being one challenge per game this season?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My best guess is that challenges are expensive to set up, and tribe drama at camp gets better ratings anyway.

SO relieved that Ben was voted out. I think it could have gone either way until he started out again at TC with his "I'm not racist, I just think people from the ghetto are trash" bullshit. You could really see people's faces go from undecided to "Yeah, he needs OUT."

I was pretty disappointed that only Jaison was willing to call a racist a racist, though. Other white people on that tribe FAIL.

Russell is repellent, but every time he gets away with another scheme, I find myself less willing to root for him to get the boot. The rest of his tribe apparently really is that dumb.
