Big stop just to renew your license to companion. Can I use companion as a verb?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Russell is repellent, but every time he gets away with another scheme, I find myself less willing to root for him to get the boot. The rest of his tribe apparently really is that dumb.

Yeah, that's where I am with this too. He's totally a little evil troll, but is actually (so far) working hard at playing the game.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I was just coming here to post on that. Holy tribal council racial smackdown. I heart Jaison so much.

I kind of feel like Survivor's needed someone with Russell's approach to shake things up a bit. I mean, would be nice if it wasn't actual Russell, but still.

Agree with everyone re: Survivor.

PR: WTF? How did Althea escape the bottom? Both her looks were horribly unflattering. I would have picked Carol Hannah's myself except I didn't like the blues she chose. Too warm for me. I think I liked Irina's the best. Too bad they're not selling that because her holiday dress looks trashy.

And what happened to Matar?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Padma is pregnant.

Pickles & ice cream challenge, anyone?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Both her looks were horribly unflattering.

God, yes. Maybe it was that the problem was the fit rather than the design?

Too bad they're not selling that because her holiday dress looks trashy.

Indeed. The challenge dress is much cuter than the commissioned dress.

Poor Louise. If she'd stuck with subtle for this challenge she would have been better off, some of the things she's done for past challenges would have been great for this one.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Padma is pregnant.

And the father is undisclosed. Hmmm ... any bets on C.J.? (:

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

PR: I know!

With Louise I was thinking about Trillian. You know, where she says, "If there's one thing the Universe has taught me, it's never to go back for your purse." And sure enough, she's forgotten her contacts and misses out on her big life opportunity. So then she says, "If there's one thing the Universe has taught me, it's that sometimes you should go back for your purse and sometimes you shouldn't. It has yet to teach me which is which." Or something like that.

Anyway, that's what I felt like Louise was doing. Unable to recognize that this was really her time to shine, doing what she does, she failed doing something she doesn't do.

TC:

Hmmm ... any bets on C.J.?

Hahahahaha!

PR - What crack are the judges smoking????

So apparently what they want this season is something boring pretty and wearable, except when they don't because "wearable" is a dirty word and not fashion-forward. WhatEVER.

I mean, I had to rewind to make sure I hadn't misheard when Heidi announced who the highest and lowest scores were. It just made no sense to me.

The problem with watching Ken Burns' The National Parks is that now I want to go to all of them, even the ones I've already seen, which are:

Arizona: Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Saguaro
California: Yosemite, (and come November) Joshua Tree
Montana: Glacier, Yellowstone
New Mexico: Carlsbad Caverns
Texas: Big Bend
Utah: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Zion
Wyoming: Grand Teton, Yellowstone

Oddly, I haven't been to any east of the Mississippi. Favorites are probably Zion and Glacier. I was pleasantly surprised by Big Bend.

Parks I most want to visit:
Alaska: Denali
California: Channel Islands, Death Valley, Redwood
Colorado: Mesa Verde
Hawaii: Hawaii Volcanos
Oregon: Crater Lake

I guess it’s good I live in California now.

Because books.

Amazing Race: I keep wanting to call the brothers Sam and DEAN. Oops.

I'm sad about the elim. I liked that couple.
