`He combed his hair, Put on a shirt that his mother made, And he went on the air...'

In the Land of the Long White Cloud, we have Lies My Parents Told Me coming up tomorrow night on TV4. Can't wait. (The same channel runs Angel the following night but I'm not sure where they're up to since I'm just watching Angel series 2 on video.)

Nobody

It's just that their suffering seems so pointless.

Word. They're not even shirtless half the time, just miserable.

apparently 9 have snagged the rights to it and will be showing it some time this year.

Woooo! Wish it hadn't been 9, though, because they have a tendency to air sci-fi shows for five minutes, change the schedule fifteen times and then cancel it because no one is watching. t /Farscape bitterness Was Firefly shot for widescreen? Because in the plus column, 9 at least understands about a little concept called 'aspect ratios'.

Just noticed those wankers are repeating "Tabula Rasa" tonight but screening a new ep of Angel tomorrow night.

Ug. I'm singing the song of they're doing it for crossover issues, la la la. But I'm spoiled! I don't care!. I do care about having to watch repeats of annoying episodes.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Re Kennedy: she was being primed as the new bitchy/mouth-not-attached-to-the-brain character. Anya took over from Cordy and because Emma had said she wasn't coming back after season 7, they went looking for someone to take over the role. Alas they didn't count on Sarah not re-signing for another season. At least, that's my take on the character and why she's getting precedence over established regulars.

Leigh ... I share your Farscape pain and your concern about how Nein will treat Firefly. They have an appalling record when it comes to genre shows. I'll give them their due, though, they are consistent, as is evidenced by the crap they're pulling with the Trek shows currently being screened.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I never felt Kennedy was bitchy, though. Just dumb, something that Anya and Cordelia were only with a point.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My big problem was that she was presumptious.

Right. Yes. Bratty.

Cordelia and Anya spoke truths. Of the potentials, I think Rona speaks more truth than Kennedy. To Rona I'd say "God, do you have to say it like that?". And to Kennedy? "SHUT UP."

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

To Rona I'd say "God, do you have to say it like that?". And to Kennedy? "SHUT UP."

ITA, ita.

(I've always wanted to write that)

If I only had a brain...

Sigh. Somebody roll the hearse up to the door. Who's got the mop?

(Man. Next he's going to ask Jilli "Who died?")

Roguish Laird

My big problem was that she was presumptious.

Oh yeah, totally unlike, say, BUFFY! Who was never the SLIGHTEST bit presumptuous or bratty.

t shakes head, more in pity than anger

Since you are agreeing with me, I'm in a difficult position.

Who was never the SLIGHTEST bit presumptuous or bratty.

Tell me Kennedy's upside again? I don't know if you're catching up in NAFDA Buffy, but I've been incredibly vocal about Buffy's S7 attitude, and how I didn't like it -- she, however, is the title character, who's done stuff, and holds my attention for that very reason. Kennedy? Has done nothing. I have no reason to pay attention to her, unless she's funny, right, heroic, something.
