Buffy: Where are the burgers? Riley: Yeah man, I'm starving. Cow me. Xander: I'd love to make with the moo but the fire's not cooperating.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My big problem was that she was presumptious.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Right. Yes. Bratty.

Cordelia and Anya spoke truths. Of the potentials, I think Rona speaks more truth than Kennedy. To Rona I'd say "God, do you have to say it like that?". And to Kennedy? "SHUT UP."

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

To Rona I'd say "God, do you have to say it like that?". And to Kennedy? "SHUT UP."

ITA, ita.

(I've always wanted to write that)

If I only had a brain...

Sigh. Somebody roll the hearse up to the door. Who's got the mop?

(Man. Next he's going to ask Jilli "Who died?")

Oh yeah, totally unlike, say, BUFFY! Who was never the SLIGHTEST bit presumptuous or bratty.

t shakes head, more in pity than anger

Since you are agreeing with me, I'm in a difficult position.

Who was never the SLIGHTEST bit presumptuous or bratty.

Tell me Kennedy's upside again? I don't know if you're catching up in NAFDA Buffy, but I've been incredibly vocal about Buffy's S7 attitude, and how I didn't like it -- she, however, is the title character, who's done stuff, and holds my attention for that very reason. Kennedy? Has done nothing. I have no reason to pay attention to her, unless she's funny, right, heroic, something.

Duuuude-- she's the chosen one.

Kennedy? Has done nothing.

Except Willow.

No, I meant more that Season 1/2 Buffy was presumptuous and bratty, and we all liked it then, didn't we? Point taken, though, she was saving the world and stuff too. It just seems strange that people are wanting characters to be all respectful and know their place. Because wouldn't that just be really boring?

I don't really know why I like her though, I guess I just think she has a certain charisma and sexiness. And I like the fact that they have a dyke who's not all mystical.

It was nice to have an earthling dyke.

Buffy was always the slayer. Buffy also demonstrated a sympathetic side -- she had a vulnerability that I didn't immediately want to stick a bayonet through. And she did fight, and she did win, and she grumbled and tried half-heartedly to rebel, and she made bad choices, but she let us see inside she was, more often than not, trying hard.

Kennedy has had no inside. She's just seemed spoilt to the core.

Buffy has never been my favourite of the Scoobs. In fact, it wasn't until S6 that I'd have even said I liked her. But I did get her. I wouldn't have hung out with her, but I did get her, and could see appeal in what she was trying to do.

Kennedy? NSM. Rona's a brat too -- I don't like her as a person I'd have in my life, but I see her narrative purpose, and don't wish her kebabbed.
