Have you listened to the related show, Young Leif?

I have - just started. I decided to support them at the intro. level, because I am a total sucker who had to have all the bonus material, ha!

Thrive to spite them

Yay a+ on the colonoscopy prep. I didn't do well with that but it worked out.

We have Comicon'd. Well the one day version and it was so small. And we forgot to bring M's comics that had art work by Michael Watkins to get signed. BUT we got some of his prints. There were cool costumes . I saw a couple of coworkers. I got some cool art.

Including a drawing done by the 9 or 10 year old kid. He was selling drawings he had already done for $2 or commissions for $5. I showed him a picture of the Dinobot we had and he did it.

This awesome artist [link] who has this whole concept of Portsmith Aeroship Building . Based on Portsmith ship building. It's an amazing concept that needs a comic book or anime or something. The Aeroships look like warships and it's kind of retro future/steampunk and Tuskagee Airman inspired. And Rainy Workshop has this photobooth drawings. I didn't take this picture of the set up but she was a cardboard setup like she was this autotomon and you put in a coin she made and then she drew the picture and pushed it through the slot. $5 per person it was a steal

And then the artist I saw last year at the Game con that had the gilded/gold flame/glitter prints that I wanted so bad but I didn't . I splurged. He had majorly knocked down the price so I got Storm . And a cool Spider man print.

I also wore some jewelry. I realized I never really do and why not for Comicon? So I dug up the ear cuff I bought last year, some dragonfly necklaces and some bracelets. And then I wished I had some lipstick or tinted lip balm. I think it's because I have my hair cut and I'm feeling more like myself and more like I care about how I'm dressing and what I want to wear. I realized I pretty much only have clothes for work and a few summer tops. And sneakers and two pairs of sandals and I want ...you know...outfits. I

Pics of the artwork are on my Facebook/IG

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Aw Tim, that's rough. I'm sorry you guys are navigating this.

In completely frivolous news, my office dining room has a rotating cast of breakfast items and today was the mini gruyere quiche so my Monday has started off solid. I even snagged an extra one for later.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy Monday for those celebrate.

It's a glorious blue sky day in San Francisco, very typical for October where we tend to have some of our warmest days. And a welcome change after an extra foggy summer.

I spent most of Sunday doing all the household chores I'd been avoiding for a couple weeks: cleaned the Guinea Pig cage, did the dishes, vacuumed the house, took out the garbage.

Consequently I arrive at the beginning of the week being Slightly Ahead Of The Game. Which is rare on any day but particularly on a Monday.

Trudged off to Pilates at 9am this morning filled with "I don't wanna" but I did and it's done.

I have therapy this afternoon and will do some errands while I'm out in the car and since I'm possessed with the rare spirit of productivity, I might do some laundry.

Grab that executive function when it makes an appearance, I say.

ION, I can't fucking believe that Bari Weiss is now in charge of CBS news.

WTF. I really hate her.

You have to ride that wave of executive function as far as it will take you. Pro tip: don't sit down. Sitting down derails the whole thing.

Aw Tim, that's rough. I'm sorry you guys are navigating this.

He went to the ER yesterday for 2 bags of fluids after he blacked out briefly in the hallway to the bathroom at 3 am Saturday night. That was exciting. I woke up to a loud ker-thud, immediately thought "WTF did the cat just knock over," rolled over in bed, realized Tim was not in bed and quickly put 2 and 2 together. As he explained later, "I started seeing spots and thought I should lean against the door frame [editor's note: not a solid, closed door; the door FRAME. but in his defense, it was 3 am and his BP was probably like 20/4], and then I was on the ground." So as near as he can tell, he blacked out for maybe a few seconds. By the time I got to him, he was conscious, just fuzzy.

Sunday morning he called the cancer center's on-call weekend line, and they were like, yeah, please get your ass to the ER. And the ER doctor concluded it was just dehydration. This is after he got a bag of fluids on Friday. (Looks like he should have gotten 2 bags.) After the ER gave him 2 bags of fluids and all his tests came back fine, his BP was in the triple digits and they cut him loose. He really needs a better system for staying hydrated.

Our wings are not tired.

Scary stuff! Staying hydrated is easier said than done.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

ION, I can't fucking believe that Bari Weiss is now in charge of CBS news.

It's honestly so embarrassing. I'm relieved I don't have to go to work there anymore!
