Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Always Anti-fascist!

Beginning to suspect I need a book: What To Expect When You're Digesting(if you write it and sell a million copies, I do want on the Acknowledgements page, though.) On the nightmarish side cycling from "Can't get started," to "Can't stop," especially in my position.

Say hi to Dolly, ND!

I kept my cool a few years ago when a lady ran into the front of my car while I was stopped at a stop sign, so I'm pretty sure I would for a parking lot scrape. My big litmus tests are if anyone was hurt or if lives were endangered through stupidity.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

That Bengals game was INSANE.

Tats a long time to be on the road, ND! Good luck.

My friends and I went to the night market last night and sadly my stomach has been rejecting it since shortly after we got home. I am glad it waited until we got home though? But ugh.

Thankfully the food regret seems to have been fairly short lived. The street market was otherwise lots of fun!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I know it is early, but want to put out into the ether. I’ll be having a Thanksgiving meal and hang out day(s) for anyone who wants to come. I have 4 locals that usually come over on Tday. What I do not have is beds for people to stay overnight, but I can certainly help locate Airbnb or vrbos that are close. Or hotels obviously.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Week 2 of kicking cancer's ass began this morning. Tim is already noticing that some foods are tasting different, thanks to the radiation (since it's basically a controlled burn inside his mouth 5 days a week for 7 weeks). But since he isn't having any physical difficulty eating (yet), he declared that last week was Fat Tim Week 1 and this week is Fat Tim Week 2, while he adds cheese and butter and avocado to everything and also has dessert every day, to try and add some weight as a buffer for when he starts to lose some weight (though we have strategies to try to minimize that, too).

Saturday night we went to a German restaurant (at Tim's request) with his brother and SiL, and Tim chowed down Deutschland style. (Side note: now that I'm on Zepbound, when we go out to eat it hits me how large restaurant portions truly are. I mean, I knew that before, but when my appetite is curbed, the plate full of food just seems comically large, as opposed to just "huh, that seems like a lot." I feel like I'll be eating the leftovers all week.)

Our wings are not tired.

he adds cheese and butter and avocado to everything and also has dessert every day

Excellent plan.

Yes, even before the shots I found most meals out were 2-3 portions. Now I just consider that most of it is going home before I order and choose something that keeps. IOW, no more salads that will wilt.

Always Anti-fascist!

I always take stuff home/ have leftovers when I eat out. Very rough day yesterday. I wanted time with Victor's book, but not because my gut was having a mutiny. Still, it was nice to know a Buffista was there for me, in a sense.

Thrive to spite them

I'm at Mom's and Dad called and was talking about various family members on his side and some of his health stuff and that's how I found out he has squamous cell carcinoma on his skin and he is getting it removed Wed. That's literally all I know. He is doing that instead of radiation treatment.

So that's my Monday.
