this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Are edibles a thing in Ohio, and permissible with chemo?

They are legal in Ohio and they're probably permissible with chemo. Way back in the 90s (or 80s? or both?) Tim was a huge pothead, and ever since he quit in the mid-90s, he's always avoided it because he didn't want to fall back into bad patterns. So I think weedibles are something that would only be a last resort for him, though I also think he's sensible enough to recognize that this is a situation where breaking his no-weed rule could be beneficial. We'll see when and if that happens.

(No one was hurt except for maybe a dog whose walk got interrupted, which I understand is quite a serious matter by dog code.)

Avenge that dog, brenda! Right the wrongs committed upon that innocent dog!

Yes def consider (though talk to doc about it) weed!

The friend we are visiting in Thailand is among other things running an art gallery, so took us to a colleagues place yesterday and we bought a bunch of art (prints, which will be rolled up to go home). We had accidentally gotten about $600 out of the ATM (oops, meant to get $60) so we clearly have to spend it right? I’m not usually one to buy art (my friend def is) but I bought two really pretty pieces, total about $250.

Today though the friends have to move so we are going to help them some, and then go to the pool.

Also much good luck to Tim, and Brenda I bet it is fascinating!! Are you allowed to tell stories after, or is it always no?

Thrive to spite them

I was in the restroom at work and heard a page for the owner of the silver Honda Fit

It couldn't possibly be mine right ?

It was. Some young guy managed to scrape along the side of my car trying to park. There was no one parked on the other side. He looked so nervous. It's paint damage. I got his insurance info but I didn't want to deal with it at work. I assured him that this was a really minor issue and he just needs to be careful. And I wasn't mad at him. I told him about my first car accident (I totalled two cars! I flipped my dad's car...I skidded into a car that was in front of a telephone pole, pushed that car into the pole and it caused my dad's car to flip very slowly ).

I think he apologized about 2 dozen times. A coworker asked me why I didn't call the police and his insurance right away. As much grace as people have given me when I was a terrible, dumbass driver the very least I could do was pay it forward.

Very kind and generous of you, askye. Sweethearted.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I really appreciate that perspective askye. We need more of that in the world.

Also of this. I just stumbled across this website with historically inspired footwear and I am drooling. What time is that Powerball drawing? Because I’m looking at approximately all of these. [link]

I do need to call my insurance. There is a dent right about the wheel. But I hate to but I need to get the paint fixed

Today I was telling a coworker (who I'm honestly not found of but I have to work with her a lot so I try) and she kept going on about how livid she would be and how she would chew the kid out. And what would that accomplish?

Although there was a time when I probably would have gone off on the kid. But I was thinking about E and all the Buffista kids and how I would hate for them to deal with someone losing it over something minor.

I did leave work early. Because on top of that I got my flu vaccine on my lunch break and somehow the pharmacist hit a tiny vein and I bled some. Got on my shirt and I had to get it re bandaged. But it's fine and the pharmacist is a sweetheart and checked in with me yesterday and also today .

So I left early and went to Five Below and bought the Breyer unicorns they have. And the Scheich unicorn. I didn't know that brand but they do model animals and unicorns and are more affordable than Breyer Search: 108 results found for "unicorn" [link] They have all kinds of animals like cats and monsters and dinosaurs and -- llamacorns! Search: 2 results found for "unicorn llama" [link]

I showed that to M and he said we definitely need the llamacorns.

I have a shelf in the living room that has been a catch all and I'm going to turn it into a Unicorn Uptopia.

Our wings are not tired

I am on my way back to Pigeon Forge today. Already 90 minutes into my flight to Dallas. This go around I'm out for three weeks. Two in Pigeon Forge followed by a week in Boise. I have had way too much time on the road this year.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Travel~ma, ND.

Sorry about the car stuff, askye.

Today I’m going to a potluck for my community garden. We’re all supposed to make something from what we grew in our gardens. Luckily one of my butternut squash ripened just in time, so I’ll be making squash in puff pastry. It’s a gorgeous late summer day here, and I’m looking forward to socializing with people I’m not related to. I love living close to family, but sometimes you want to chat with people who didn’t see your awkward pre-teen years, ya know?

Ohhh that sounds yummy! I get the socializing thing

Hey ND! You'll be a few hours from me. I hope your stay is nice and the weather cooperates with everything.
