Dang David, that was so fast! Didn’t you just put the offer on it like, last week??
Enjoy some good drugs, Teppy!!

Yes, but I used a Securities Backed Loan (SBL) to make a cash buy and now I'm going to refinance it with a regular mortgage (which will pay off the SBL).
It was five days from bid to close.
It's been an absolute blizzard of DocuSign! (and texts, emails and calls)
That sounds like a land speed record
I absolutely should not complain about this, but: my dad picked up some “cinnamuffins” one of the times he was grocery shopping and we discovered after he got them home that they were made with eggs so Mom couldn’t eat them. So yesterday, he and I had one each, and they were pretty delicious! I woke up this morning thinking “I don’t have to think about what to eat for breakfast, we have two of those muffins left so I can have one of those and that will be good”. Got down to the kitchen and the empty container is in the recycling. Alas. Have to make a decision when I didn’t plan to.
Yesterday UPS kept me hanging, waiting for delivery of a refill of one of my (anti-) cancer medications.
Initial delivery estimate was between 1230 and 1430. At 1400 it got pushed to 1530. Then it got pushed to 1730. Then 1830. Then 2000. Then 2130.
Watching the icon of the delivery truck on the moving map on the UPS app became more and more frustrating. So close, for so long, but not coming that last little bit to my location.
Finally at 2200 the delivery status regressed from "out for delivery" to "on the way" and "calculating new delivery estimate."
Today's estimated delivery is currently between 1430 and 1830. We'll see.
Still feeling leftover frustration more than any anticipation. Still feeling more anger than hope.
The situation is not dire. I ordered the refill with plenty of supply currently on-hand. But still: Grrrrr! Arrrgh!

blinks in New York Real Estate
Argh, dcp! I can’t believe how much they jerk you around with these deliveries! I mean I can but argh
Not just NY real estate. We've bought 5 houses and closing is always a month minimum. But again, that's with mortgage companies involved.

That is seriously impressive. Even with the cash purchase when we sold the Delray Beach house and cash purchase of our condo in Fort Lauderdale it was 4 weeks. Longer in previous transactions when mortgages were involved.
If I were Emmett, I would be so excited I would be sleeping there the very first day, on blankets on the floor if need be.
Very frustrating, DCP. I get mail-order meds, and the convenience and price are great, but the percentage of time stress is involved is also great.
-t, remember, the early bird gets the cinnamuffins
Teppy, how was sleep last night? How are you tolerating the collar?
Continued health~ma and life~ma to all.
Emmy's are in my watching queue. I have become very intolerant of ads and watch almost everything the next day. Sports may be the big exception, and on Mondays I watch Rachel live with my sister, but I am such an early-to-bed girl that I sometimes don't manage that either.
In this case the night owl got the muffins, but they brought them back to the nest in the first place so it’s all good.
Mom seems to be doing really well, slept better last night than since she got home and is stiff from sleeping so hard but not achy, which is great. My sister is en route from the airport, so I’ll be heading home at some point. That will be weird.
