Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy birthday, amyparker

It's not awful, but not up to my usual standard either.

I make a salad. It's yummy versus healthy so people love it.

And I keep messing with it. Originally it was two salads, then melanged into the Buffista cookbook and now I mess with it to not feel dead inside.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and now I mess with it to not feel dead inside.

An important factor in all food prep decisions.

It keeps me going. Next year though, I am taking over all food and will let the delicious salad be simple and delicious. I can be dead inside as long as my stepmom eats a hot, delicious meal.

Our wings are not tired.

Sending birthday wishes to Emily and Quester today. We haven't seen them around these parts in some time, but I hope they feel the well wishes headed their way.

It's also Brendon's 61st birthday today. He has a day of work ahead of him, but this is his own doing, so not much I can do about it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Happy birthdays to all of the post-Christmas Buffista babies!

Ugh. My father seems to be rapidly declining and is not completely lucid, and unable to get up to use the bathroom now…but is lucid enough that when EMTs came he answered their questions and refused to go to the hospital. My poor sister is at her wits end (like yes, he’s been dying for years, but is this a stupid UTI and he’s just being stubborn and has decided it’s his time??)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, meara, how very difficult!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Thanks, Laura. It's very strange to be 70.

Ugh, meara. No fun. Frequent UTIs are a big issue with the elderly. It seems they never get rid of it completely. And it causes problems beyond the incontinence.
