I've got all my bills on a rotating schedule in the To Do list on my tablet.

Glad you feel better, Steph. That trip does seem like it would take a week to recover from.
You know what would be amazing? If I could print anything out. The IT situation at my job is....not the best.
Gudanov, I suspect that you are making a fairly usual amount of mistakes but that there are some factors that make the mistakes you make especially burdensome. Talking with a therapist would help you figure out if your mistakes are ordinary ones that are being magnified by stress, or if you have some challenge such as ADHD or depression that causes you to be distracted and so make more mistakes. If it is the first, the therapist can assist you in handling the stress. If it is the second, the therapist can assist you in finding resources, tools, and strategies to keep you on track. As someone with ADHD, I can say that the calendar on my iPad has made a world of difference for me; and, there are dozens of tools out there to help with organization.
Well, shoot. I didn't bring my lunch today, planned to pick it up. The restaurant I had it in my head I wanted to go to doesn't open until 11. I'm in a meeting 11-12. I'm hungry now.
I do have chocolate, so, you know, I'll manage. But still.
Aw, Gud, I want to hug you. The world would not be better off without you, certainly your kids wouldn't. Please consider some of the suggestions already made, and try to be gentler with yourself.
Automatic bill pay is the only reason my bills get paid, pretty much. I'm so glad the days when I had to handle all that with just my own brain are over.
We had a departmental meeting today, the second part of which was a presentation from my department manager that included some positive feedback and acknowledgment for us staff editors that made me feel pretty good. I needed that appreciation today.
If you can't automate them for some reason, setting calendar reminders several days in a row in advance of bills being due may be a good way to prompt you.
My life is ridiculously overbooked but everything in my life is on autopay or calendar. I get emails and/or pop up reminders for everything! Take your vitamins comes at 11 am, water the plants comes every Tuesday. All my bills as well as anything I have to remember comes in reminders because my memory banks are all filled up.
positive feedback and acknowledgment
Yes! Always a good thing.
Hooray for appreciation of Zen!
I have so many pop-ups and reminders that I sometimes ignore them, is my problem. Need to fix that.
My reminders stay there staring at me until I check them off as done. I'm pretty much screwed without my technology. At least the dog does her own reminding without a popup.
This morning, I did a "due last Friday" task because the reminder popped up. Turns out, I actually did it last week!
...As did the rest of my team, and as a reward, the coordinator brought in the most delicious cookies. OMG. And I'm not just saying that because I haven't had many sweets in the past month.
