"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So if I'm following the legislative logic here...what we really need is a vaccine that's administered vaginally. Because then it could be legally mandated.

Damn, Jessica.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh my god the drunken monkeys clip. One of my all-time favorite research requests. So many memories!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We bought a new washer last night (top-loading, agitator-less HE washer), and it gets delivered in a week. The old washer still works, but is very, very noisy and possibly possessed by a demon. So I did laundry today.

I am now Googling laundromats. Balls. The one load I put in the washer did in fact wash and rinse, but the spin cycle has given up the ghost. So I wrung that load (t-shirts, socks, and oh my god yoga pants) out by hand into the washtub and threw it in the dryer, where it will probably take 10 hours to dry. Maybe 20. (Okay, probably 90 minutes, but hyperbole is more fun.)

All I really need to wash still is my load of stuff I hang up -- sweaters, jeans, etc. So I only need to do one load of wash at the laundromat, but damn, is it going to not be fun lugging home a load of wet (but, one presumes, at least spin-cycled) laundry.

Modern problems, I haz them.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Ginger, that is really terrible. I'm angry on your behalf, but also angry at our health care system in general.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think you've crossed threads, TB.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

PiBaby is so wonderfully happy. Makes me smile to look at pictures.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Beautiful wee man, Nilly! Nice to see you here.

Ah, Company Values section of the annual self-appraisal, my old nemesis. We meet again.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

PiBaby has Nilly's smile and enthusiasm.

What are you appraising under Company Values, Jessica? How they suck?
