Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I just had that Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate with Speculoos Cookie Cream

I bought one of those and one of the caramel today. The checker was raving about them. Kinda looking forward to nomming.

Also 2003 BMW 325i.

My brother approves and he doesn't even know it. Though those he mods are definitely older and of higher mileage.

Yay furniture! I need to do something about that. Though I need to do structural projects first. Which is why I told a friend to buy her furniture before she moves into a 1940s house, cause after? There are other sucks.

I'm all partied out. It's sort of interesting. First was a baby shower, populated a lot by people in the field or adjacent. Small talk ascertaining what you do dwindles off and you move on to other topics.

Second party, my neighbor's former roommate. I don't know him well, just from the 6 months he lived next door and neighbor's parties. But I figure what the hell, new people. This party largely populated by people in environmental politics, general polisci and foreign affairs with a handful of arts types. What do you do, posed to me, turns me into an object of complete fascination, and I find myself prompted to explain Hubble, the Mars rovers, Kepler, the community's view on manned missions, image processing, and on and on.

It was fun. And I met new people. And T and his roommate said I'd have to come back, and not just because as a housewarming gift, I gave him a rubber mallet. Everone needs one of those.

Because books.

Jesus. There was a shooting just one block west of the downtown district last night (restaurants, shops -- although this was at 2 a.m.), and one person was killed. And driving home through town tonight, we had to pull over for cops -- a huge brawl broke out in one of the bars, at least a dozen people were arrested, and campus police were there as backup.

Stop that, people! This is a nice town!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

as a housewarming gift, I gave him a rubber mallet. Everone needs one of those.

Dear heavens, that is awesome.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I just had that Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate with Speculoos Cookie Cream

Sooooo good!

I bought one of those and one of the caramel today. The checker was raving about them. Kinda looking forward to nomming.

The caramel is excellent, but then I'm a sucker for chocolate/caramel. (Although, to be totally honest, I prefer my caramel more firm, less liquidy, like a Rolo.)

I've had a mallet since college (won it and the honor of being the Gremlin in the Midnight Croquet sprees.) And I've found it quite useful!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat and Lori gave me a rubber mallet with their establishment package. Invaluable stuff.

Watching Fright Night. I like this! It should have done better. Colin Farrell's on fire, so to speak. And I really like how injured vamps act--they're all feral and creepy when their higher functions aren't engaged.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate with Speculoos Cookie Cream

So sad I have no Trader Joe's no mo'.

Amy, on the bright side, at least your town hasn't had 20+ murders in less than a month? (I AM LOOKING AT YOU NEW ORLEANS.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The caramel is going to be my downfall I think. It felt like I could break off just a section. If so, gooey caramel is just fine with me. I need to eat dinner first though.
