Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh jeez, Consuela. Yuck.

Yeah, pretty much. Sigh.

Poor you!

I was clever tonight. Home Despot was selling 5 tier shelves (plastic, for the basement) for $40, but their 4 tier ones for $20. So I got two 4 tiers, made one 5 tier and one 3 tier, all for the same cost (and it was the number of shelves I needed.) Things aren't the most efficiently put away on them, but I've gotten all the luggage as well as some other crap, off the floor, where I either had to worry about it getting wet or me tripping over it. So that's a win, I think.

My basement still needs so much help (a lot of things I need to donate/go through and toss), but oh well.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I love onions! But don't cook enough to buy many at a time.

I don't like them raw, but I generally love them cooked; however, I don't cook with onions enough to buy a bag at a time. I generally just buy 1 onion at a time, when I know I'm going to be cooking something requiring an onion.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, when you grow up, sarameg, you could be an Ikea hacker.

Thrive to spite them

I just saw someone suggest a tip of buying onions in bulk, then cooking them and freezing in portion sizes you'd use for cooking. Then just defrost and use as needed.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yipes Consuela! I feel for you on that one.

Beans are done. Succulent and delicious. Why isn't it dinner time yet?

I just buy onions as needed, and if I find I have too many, I start thinking onion soup.

Great, already getting ideas to make a small mobile cart/workspace for the kitchen.
