I just got a $508 ticket at UCLA. Parking

WTF? What for?

And I say you challenge it--UCLA is part of the state government, after all.

$508? um ... that's a lot (says the carless person). What for?

Love!

I need a job where I can internet shop for people all day.

If you figure out how to do this, let me know.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

What horrible parking violation is worth $508?!? Parking on top of an actual living human being?

Because books.

Seriously, that's absurd. Parking, like, IN the cafeteria or something, maybe. Otherwise, contest the hell out of it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesus. And I was feeling bad because I read 12am as 12pm and will be out $64. $508 should be way outside what penalty can be assessed for freaking parking, unless there's emergency access involved.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe it's voluntary, like the red-light tickets?? [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think I need this:

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I am home sick, watching a guy clipping his toenails. He is across the street, hanging out of a third floor window, so the clippings can fall out three stories. That would be a helluva way to die.
