A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

If someone is willing to ruin her wedding pictures by dressing me like a fool, I'll certainly do my part and besmirch the photographs.

Huh. We have postponed our big party celebration thing to next April, and that is really tempting.

Would you wear a picture hat? With trailing ribbons?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I haven't been in a wedding since I was the flower girl in my sister's wedding when I was seven. I'm fine with that. Too much responsibility.

I was going to say that I haven't been in a wedding, but you remind me that I was the flower girl in my uncle's wedding at about the same age. I remember panicking b/c I ran out of petals too fast. My dress was a lavender ruffled number that my grandmother made and that I repurposed to be Cinderella a couple of Halloweens later. By which time, I believe, uncle and aunt had divorced.

I was asked to be in a lesbian wedding, but the date fell right during my Peace Corps training, so no go. I wonder if I shall ever be a bridesmaid... heck, I'm starting to wonder if I shall ever be a bride.

Oh man, I look back at the bridesmaid gown I picked and I want to write letters of appology to all the women. I had a completely different image in my mind - wanted dark green - but got talked around to a pastel blue, floofy, hoop skirted THING that actually had bows on the butt. Why? How? I don't know. I blame it on being 19 and foolish.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Some people here need this shirt:

But it doesn't specify if they have to be outside pants

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I was a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding (1981) and best woman in my male friend's wedding (1993). The dress I wore as a bridesmaid required almost no changes to double as a generic SF princess dress at mid-80s conventions. As best woman I wore a tux shirt and jacket over a black skirt. I liked the latter better.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, thanks, smonster....

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I have been a bridesmaid 4 times. Last October was the most recent and it was a lesbian wedding where all the attendants were "best friends" rather than bridesmaids or groomsmen.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I have one bridesmaid's dress that I wear a lot. It's a simple floor length black gown, with a scoop neck and short sleeves. Another one was a floor length navy blue with velvet top and satin skirt. I had that one cut to knee length and wore it a few times. I have another one make of a really pretty blue irridescent satin with spaghetti straps. One of the straps broke, though and I need to get it fixed. I haven't had occasion to wear it again, but I would.
