We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Um wow, you people are eating well on this lovely Sunday! I am headed toward leftover fish and curried kale.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm just annoyed that my lazy-weekend-days-at-home, no-cooking-during-the-week plan has not come to fruition.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Stop working on the weekend!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I had ravioli for dinner, which was pretty boring, but then I had pumpkin pie for dessert. I think I've perfected this pumpkin pie recipe now.

Our wings are not tired.

I've been particlularly relishing my solitude today, after a very busy (and social) day yesterday.

Spent the morning in the sunshine on my back deck, sipping coffee and reading houseporn magazines. Then for a dog walk in the hood (we have a lot of training exercises to practice, as we had a session yesterday with the fantastic dog trainer), then back for football. It's weird not having Steve here, but it's okay. I was inspired by all of you foodies and decided to make ad hoc huevos rancheros using a can of Amy's Veggie chili, corn tortillas, two eggs and a little bit of sharp cheddar. First time I tried it and it's a keeper.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So much world for little Grace! Hooray!

I still have to do laundry and cut my hair. How completely unexciting yet necessary.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Man, just reading the coverage of the Saints game is nerve-wracking. I think I'm kind of glad it didn't come on TV here.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am, as per usual it seems, recording it to watch when DH gets home. Grumble, IT infrastructure needing maintenance on the weekends, grouse.

I'm having a chile lime chicken burger. Cause I am lazy.

I rethought my hate of leaf blowers while trying to get the leaves out of the ivy. God that's a pain. Also, I was growing quite the crop of mushrooms under all those leaves. At first I was all I don't remember all these white rocks in my yard... and then I looked closer. I anticipate more when I deal with the ivy between Ben's and my walks.
