I've been particlularly relishing my solitude today, after a very busy (and social) day yesterday.
Spent the morning in the sunshine on my back deck, sipping coffee and reading houseporn magazines. Then for a dog walk in the hood (we have a lot of training exercises to practice, as we had a session yesterday with the fantastic dog trainer), then back for football. It's weird not having Steve here, but it's okay. I was inspired by all of you foodies and decided to make ad hoc huevos rancheros using a can of Amy's Veggie chili, corn tortillas, two eggs and a little bit of sharp cheddar. First time I tried it and it's a keeper.
So much world for little Grace! Hooray!
I still have to do laundry and cut my hair. How completely unexciting yet necessary.
Man, just reading the coverage of the Saints game is nerve-wracking. I think I'm kind of glad it didn't come on TV here.

If you don't have chili, you can substitute refried beans. Muy tasty.
Mac liked ice skating although we only went around twice and that took 20 min. We will go back.
I bought paint samples today. I will be painting all the walls (except maybe kitchen and bath) and want it to be a warm neutral and compliment the wood floors which are a medium honey brown. Samples are: creamy buttermilk, sandy feet, and summer sandcastle - all glidden colors. Corm silk eliminated for being too yellow.
Catching up - love honey, need to eat it more often- I have clovern tupelo and wildflower. Sad to admit that I all too often let it crystallize. I love honey on waffles.
I thought agave was low glycemic.
I had golden syrup for the first time at Plei's house, and it was delicious. Agave, too, I think.
