I hope they make quick work of it, Barb.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
So, there was this game when Royals relief pitcher Jeremy Affeldt gave up a home run. He was upset in the dugout, of course, and he stormed around, muttering at himself, “Man, that wasn’t even that bad of a pitch.” Of course, all his teammates kept their distance.
All except Zack Greinke.
“That wasn’t even that bad of a pitch,” Affeldt barked at himself again.
“Actually,” Zack said, “it was a pretty bad pitch.”
Affeldt looked up at Greinke. “Thanks, Zack,” Affeldt said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
“No,” Zack said, “really, I went back to the clubhouse and looked at the pitch on video. It was a really bad pitch. Right over the middle of the plate, and you got it up. I mean it was a bad pitch.”
“Thanks, Zack,” Affeldt said again.
“Right down the middle. I could have hit it out,” Greinke said.
Affeldt looked into Greinke’s eager face and just shook his head.
“Thanks, Zack,” he said.
“Yeah,” Greinke said, and he walked back to his seat in the dugout.
That is awesome.
No, there are also Mondays.
If it's Mondays or death, it's not much of a choice.
Can't we just bake more cake? Then swap "death" for "Monday"? If we are going to swap an option, let's get rid of death. All in favor?
Aye ::chorus effect thru Lexicon PCM 90::
The Aye's have it.
Now we just need to figure out who does the baking for more cake. Let the nominations begin.
(see, I could be Mayor! Maybe I'll run when we get Buffista Isle)
From way back:
They have this name, I think, because that was their name when they left Minnesota. Where Lakers makes a bit more sense.
Yep, which is why I added it to the discussion about teams who've moved and hence have names that make no sense. :)
Happy birthday Amy!!
AND THEY KEEP SETTING OFF THE FREAKIN' ALARMS
::whimpers::
Now I have a migraine AND the instant nausea that goes with it, plus the dogs are freaking out and I can't find the cat.
oh Barb ... the only consolation I can offer is that cats frequently find someplace out of the way - like under a bed - when there's a lot of noise and confusion.
I know Toddson-- I'm just worried because when they were bringing the upstairs unit into the house, they left the door standing open and I was shut in the back bedroom with the dogs. When I asked Lewis if he'd told them about the cat or if he'd shut the cat away in one of the kids' bedrooms he kind of looked at me blankly.
Can't totally blame him- this is the least curious cat on the planet and he knows where his food's at, but still... I worry.
ETA: Okay, found him. He's hiding in Lewis' closet. This is a good place to hide. He can stay there all day for all I care.

You could join him.
You could join him.
I could.
We have WiFi. I have pillows. It could work.
