Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Woot for kitty pettying and domestic time with cute girls.

My mother has FINALLY learned to text, now that she's in CANADA and has fully understood my statement that texting is free but calling is spendy. She is super funny in text. Most recent xchange: Mom: how many units can i send? Me: units?? Mom: Isn't there a limit to how many letters i can send? right now it says 90...but the numbers are going down at the top. This is all

{laughter}

Texting is still free for her in Canada?

Emily, six hours is not that far, especially if there might be nookie at the end. iPhone wanted that to say bookie. Which would NOT be worth six hours drive.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Mmmm. Tacos are yum. Tempeh marinated in beer, lime juice, and chili powder; cole slaw; and sour cream with lime juice and cilantro; topped with tomatoes and avocado.

The status is NOT quo.

Emily! YAY you being here!

As for me, I just got off the phone with date-girl. Today is our day off, but she's coming over and we're going to spend some time together today, and walk D&K's dog later. The signs continue to be positive.

I am very happy about date-girl, and very amused that yet another person is going to see our house without us there. (Seriously, it's comical how many times someone has said, "You have a really nice house!" who I've never met before.) I hope Zoe and the kitties are charming and not annoying. They shed because they love.

Safe flight to Jamaica, sweetie.

Alas, although there would be flirting (mucho flirting, indeed), circumstances contrive so that there would be no nookie. More detail is not appropriate for so public a space, but... no nookie. Hell, if there was nookie, I wouldn't be asking!

She loves animals, and has a couple of kitties herself. She's already seen a picture of Zoe, and been told about the grumpy old three-legged man.

Byron's not grumpy! He's just opinionated. And needy. And the sweetest gray kitty cat ever.

Okay, he can be a little grumpy. Love him a lot, though.

Oh, I adore Byron, but when he wants out, he knows exactly the noise to make you come open the door now. Just to make it stop.
