[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I remember occasional wild sex and lots of heartache. YDatingMemoryMV

Yeah, that's been my experience of the thing.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. Plus lots of anxiety and confusion.

Huh. I pretty much stopped dating after my last relationship ended. That was before the invasion of Iraq, because I remember arguing with her that it would be a bad idea....

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I was serial fuck-buddy girl. The guys always made it clear they were in it for the fun, but I always, every single time, fell hard only to be heartbroken down the line. Joe was (and still is) my longest relationship and first guy I lived with that wasn't platonic.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I was pretty free with the sex back in the day and usually regretted it after. One of the main things I'd love for teen girls to know is that just because you had sex with someone/multiple someones, doesn't mean you have to have it with all the rest of the people you date. You can stop any time you want. I feel like I didn't quite realize that until later. Like, "What does it matter? I've already had sex with x number of people." But you know, it did matter to me.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Heh. My dating experience is a bit of an outlier. There are a grand total of three women with whom I ever even went on a second date, and I married two of them. (Not at the same time.) I think I dated the other woman just to prove it wasn't just some sort of compulsive behaviour.

That sounds like me only with one less marriage. Lots of single dates that didn't work out. Never had a girlfriend until college, though I should have had two in high school. But I was a stupid teenage boy and asked out girls who didn't want to go out with me while being oblivious to the girls who did.

I was like that until my 30s....

College broke me out of it, clean slate and everything. Though I remember being frustrated my freshmen year because it seemed like every. single. girl. had a boyfriend back home.

I still feel embarrassed remembering high school. It's just mind-boggling how clueless I was. It couldn't have been more obvious they wanted to go out with me unless they just kissed me out of the blue. Which happened. Twice.
