Sean, I think the house is ready. Freshly cleaned, too! I left you a pretty bouquet of hygrangeas on the table and am going to feed the pets around 4 before the shuttle picks me up. I've left our bedroom open so Zoe and the cats can sleep in there. If it starts to smell funky, check Zoe's bed. You may need to take the cover off and wash it. I did so recently, but if Byron misbehaves it may need to be done again.
When I pull the handle of Drew's massive wheeled duffel out, it is almost as tall as me. Very embarassing. Layers are good in Alaska, though...I keep reminding myself.

I just hope I don't embarass myself with this bag. It's not the weight so much as the height. I can't pick it up more than a few inches. And I know this is deeply comic to picture, but it is also deeply frustrating. I don't mind being short most of the time, but today it's annoying.

So I had the stuff to make guacamole and did so before it went bad. And then realized that I had no tortilla chips. However, I had flour tortillas, oil, and heat. So I made tortilla chips! They are nummy nummy tasty.

Anyhoo... am in D.C. Already hit the Castle and the Museum of Natural History and visited Rexy and his Fossilized Friends, as well as the Hope Diamond and assorted other sparklies. Have walked so much, I had ibuprofen for dinner.
Tonight is a quiet night, since we were up early for our flight. If I make it to 9PM, it'll be a miracle.
