Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Happy Birthday Barb!!

Matilda is still babbling about "Baby Dylan" incidentally.

Aw, so sweet! Dylan pulled a picture of himself circa 3 weeks old off the fridge and will carry it around chanting "bebee bebee bebee" to himself. It's adorable except I'm pretty sure he thinks "bebee" means "photograph."

Now tagless for your comfort.

I need a delivery system that gets coffee directly into my bloodstream without going through my stomach first.

“Not dead yet!”

Thanks, Jess! I am reveling in the quiet that is a house that is empty but for the dogs and the cat.

Best. Present. Ever.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, why are people so annoying? I just realized that someone sent me an email asking a question at EIGHT PM on Friday, and then emailed a colleague the same question ON SATURDAY. Because I hadn't responded. Really??? This was not an urgent question, nor was it one that they could not have answered themselves.

I hate people.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This flickr photostream of found snapshots is incredible. I've been looking at it all morning: [link]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Jess beat me to it -- I use a pill-cutter to chop them into fourths because I don't use much of a dose (1/4 = 1/2 cup coffee) and they work gratifyingly fast without the need to brew anything.

Shir -- since I'm already using a site which looks to be Dutch, and we're more concerned about the styling than the actual content (the real impact is visual), Hebrew would be fine.

Also, it will make me look more sophisticated in class. :-)

Punishingly Intricate

Happy Anniversary, Jessica & Fone Bone!

My car is in the shop today because the check engine light came on. Could it PLEASE be something minor and cheap to fix? Please???

In more fun news, I had a ridiculously good birthday party this weekend. Look at this crazy (and crazy delicious) cake my best friend made for me!

That cake is fantastic looking!

Happy anniversary!

I'm freee-zing this morning. Even my toes are cold. Or especially my toes are cold.

So many great pictures, in addition to the cake! I can't believe how big those kids are.
