Jess beat me to it -- I use a pill-cutter to chop them into fourths because I don't use much of a dose (1/4 = 1/2 cup coffee) and they work gratifyingly fast without the need to brew anything.

Shir -- since I'm already using a site which looks to be Dutch, and we're more concerned about the styling than the actual content (the real impact is visual), Hebrew would be fine.

Also, it will make me look more sophisticated in class. :-)

Punishingly Intricate

Happy Anniversary, Jessica & Fone Bone!

My car is in the shop today because the check engine light came on. Could it PLEASE be something minor and cheap to fix? Please???

In more fun news, I had a ridiculously good birthday party this weekend. Look at this crazy (and crazy delicious) cake my best friend made for me!

That cake is fantastic looking!

Happy anniversary!

I'm freee-zing this morning. Even my toes are cold. Or especially my toes are cold.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So many great pictures, in addition to the cake! I can't believe how big those kids are.

I know! It's ridiculous. They were so excited about the monkey pinata. MONKEY OPEN! MONKEY OPEN!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That looks like the best party ever! And love you and Bob together--so adorable.

No such thing as a good "flash website". Flash should only be delivered to your browser after you click something that indicates it is a graphic. If flash loads on the home page the designers have already made their first mistake. Yeah I know dogmatic, but I have yet to encounter a website where having flash load initially improved it compared to an HTML opening/main page.

Typo Boy speaks my mind.

lisah, it looks like an amazing cake, and I'm glad to hear you had an awesome party.

In my own defense, I've been googling for "worst Flash sites" and come up with a couple doozies of my own:

[link]

(note: this will auto-expand your screen. And despite looking at it for a long time, I'm still not sure what it's trying to do)

[link] (note: fun musical interface, actually, but what does this have to do with architecture???!?)

[link] (note: indescribably bad design, as in My Eyes My Eyes Let Me Spork Them)

Any more nominations from the floor?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

note: this will auto-expand your screen.

ANY web page that automatically resizes my browser gets shut down and never visited again. Of all the Flash sins out there, I can't think of a single one more annoying than that.

(Seriously, web developers - we live in a wonderful new age of tabbed browsing! Why do you think that just because I want to see your restaurant's menu, I also want buffistas.org to be shrunk to the same size as your idiotically formatted Flash site???)
