Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Her response, "Well, ma'am you are disabled, and they should probably know that anyways."

The only possible positive spin I can put on that is that she was thinking of a kind of disability which might cause unexpected problems with work, and that she obviously JUST WASN'T REALLY THINKING AT ALL, but even then it's a stretch and totally inappropriate. And she should NOT be working there without being able to avoid such idiotic comments.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What Sox said. That is way over any line of acceptable behavior.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

If only this bitch had been as witty as Vialle (if I do say it myself.) But she was just a mumbly-slurry soon-to-be-a-guest-on-Jerry Springer Bitchface.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sorry, vw.

Why don't employees get to do supervisor reviews?

At the non-profit I worked out, underlings did fill out reviews of the director and sent them directly to HIS boss. Not that it did a whole lot of good but we did at least get to air our biggest gripes with his performance.

Gah. Owen suddenly despises the doctor's office. His well check up was sort of nightmarish but the doc was cool and she's giving us the referral we need for the develpmental psychologist.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

OH MY FUCKING GOD. FUCKERS.

Yeah. What Nora said. Holy fucking fucksticks.

Mostly lurking...

Well, yeah, BUT, it is IN MY FILE that my disability is psychiatric. And really, not only could this affect THAT job, but that mom could go tell the school I'm working for...or worse, the parents, so they complain.

I just figured out, though, that after I get my paycheck from UMB tomorrow, I can turn in the last month's pay stubs, and it adds up to 42.75 hours, without the work with the family. So, I'll just send those in. I'm so livid, though.

Ann, that's a ferret.

MM gives me a whole new appreciation for what our customer assistance folks do. I only have to read letters from FCo'tD's. Which can be bad enough.

not your mom's socks.

VW - (and this is not meant in any way to reflect on other people who answer phones and help people deal with their stuff - just this one heartless and rude individual who obviously should be in a different industry) - when you speak with the supervisor, give them as much information about the call, complete with what was said, and by whom. Tell them you are following up with a written version.

That was at the very least extremely inappropriate, as well as rude, when you are engaged in the very difficult process of sorting out medical billing. At the other extreme, it may violate all sorts of levels of your rights as a patient, as well as general clauses that I think should be included in Laws for Humanity.

Not only do you want from this supervisor a resolution for your billing problem - as I understand it, caused by your school schedule and absolutely seasonal - but also you should get some sort of assurance that this won't happen to anyone coming to Mass Gen trying to sort out their billing ever again.

eta: also? because I may have some need to do something other than sit and color today, I nominate me to go to Mass Gen and let this person know what I think of her need to take a long lunchbreak.
