Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

And then there is the flip side. Typically CJ walks home from school and hits the front door about 3:05. I have my work schedule set such that I hit the door about the same time.

On Monday, I got home and went straight into house clean/declutter mode. About 3:15 my mom and I look at eachother and said "where is boy". Shrug. Work, work, work...3:25 "no boy"? Oh yeah, he had a field trip and would be home late. He walked in the door about 4:00.

It REALLY should not take that long for me to be concerned and then remember he will be home late.

Maybe I blocked the field trip out - he got to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Jealous.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

The rest of us just have the fear we'll forget something important.

Occasionally I dream that I have a child... and I've forgotten it. It's pretty deep-set. It does mean that when I hear about someone who's actually done it I feel terrible for them -- because I've felt myself doing it in my dreams, if you see what I mean.

Emily, I was going to e-mail you, but since you're here, I'll just post it here...

GM called back and made suggestions not only to the FINAL transcript that has already been turned in, but to the content of something I wrote to frame the transcript as an introduction in my blog. Apparently, I wasn't clear enough about the hope and faith and trust I put in God. It was a nice lecture. I started to explain about audience and stopped myself.

Oy.

Did you explain about the turned-in-edness of it? I say again: oy.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I am in excruciating back pain this morning. It started yesterday. I think it's because I was hauling around the new laptop and a bunch of books, both in over-the-shoulder bags.

My lower back started hurting last night, but this morning? OW!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Ice, Sean, and gentle stretching. The back, she is a painful and fragile thing.

The Y has this great geeky computer program that keeps track of what you do on the weight machines. I'm absurdly pleased that the machine said "You lifted 7,000 pounds" this morning.

I did. At the very end. I clarified, and she said she knew that. She actually apologized for not catching the errors when we went over it Easter weekend. She does understand that. She just doesn't want it used for other things with the same errors.

Interesting thing that you may only understand after reading the transcript (and possibly part of my analysis). She alluded to "Eve and Adam" at one point. I found this really interesting and used it as one of my examples to show her showing equality, since she listed Eve first. Last night, she completely took Eve out. I find that very, very interesting. And, I suspect she's not going to be real thrilled with the analysis I did on that point.

I say again: oy.

That was pretty much my reaction.

I guess that makes sense. You could, if only you were still writing it, make a point about the conflict between the eternal in-processness of oral tradition versus the finite stopping point of publication... except that you've already hit that finite stopping point!

Oh noes, Sean! Be really gentle with yourself. Back pain, it sucks.
