Especially in 3 inch heels. (I am as tall as Cat Deely, and I always giggle to watch her towering over the tiny dancers at 6'2" in her heels).
I just watched Ade's solo without sound (I am at work on a public desk) and it was pretty awesome without sound. Can;t wait to actually hear the music!
flea,
it is weird music. it sounds like it was made from the sounds a PC makes.
I'm the only one who likes Evan and Randi, aren't I?
I also like Melissa and Brandon, though.
I'm the only one who likes Evan and Randi, aren't I?
I like them, I just don't think they are up to the level of the others at this point.
I'm with Megan. I liked them a lot more before the Wed night dances. The couple really showed their limitations.
I like Evan. He's really likeable, and in-style he's great.
Randi wears unitards on purpose. 'nuff said. She's pretty good, but this is a really talented group, overall.
From here on out, it's America-votes only, right? No judges deciding, just judges working over the public to try and manipulate us in their critiques. I think Evan will go a lot further than he deserves to. Now that Chbeeb is out, Evan's the Twitch.
I like them, I think that they aren't up to the level of the other dancers. I think they're cute as a button and I love Evan like whoa.
Evan and Randi just make me happy when I watch them (okay, except for that samba, which was pretty watch from the hall). On the other side of that is that Evan made me happy in auditions, whereas I didn't notice Randi much at that point. So it will be interesting to see what happens when everyone is re-paired.
I'm very much of the simple "like what I like" mindset, I think. I don't know much about the techniques at all.
I have loved Evan since his very first audition last season, but there's no way around the fact that he has underperformed this season. It didn't just start with Wednesday night, although Wednesday night I thought both he and Randi gave very poor performances. He was not even all that great in the Broadway piece he and Randi got. And I mean, I wasn't wowed by the choreography in that piece, but he should've been better than he was. It's not enough just to be able to do one type of dancing, at least not on this show. I thought he would be more versatile than he is turning out to be. I still think he'll go deep into the top 10, and I'd still take him over Jason and maybe even over Kupono. I don't see any reason that he should outlast either Ade or Brandon, but I think he's got a shot to get by at least one of them and land in the top 2 guys just due to the cuteness factor and the built in fan base from having been featured prominently both last season and this one from very early on in the audition process.
Randi I really could care less about. She is a unitard wearing, competition studio dancer with an unfortunately round face that is not done any favors by her current hairstyle. Every girl left I think is far superior to her in terms of both technique and charisma. That said, I have enjoyed her in the top 20 more than I ever thought I would, so there's that.
Part of what I liked about Ade's solo was his choice of music. It was so different from everything else we'd heard.
