Perfect eliminations tonight. Bye bye, Stank Face. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I think Vitolio will do much, much better with Karla and vice versa. I enjoyed Karla's solo tonight, even though she did fall out of every single turn. Lots of quirky and interesting movement. I'm not sure they'll be as succesful a new couple as Kayla and Kupono turned out to be. Really, I'd love it if they paired Caitlin with Vitolio. Her solo tonight was beautiful again. She really sparkles away from Jason, but together they just don't mesh. I think she and Vitolio could be quite good together. And then Jason could wind up with Karla and I wouldn't care if they went next.

I thought the group dance was quite well done. I give NappyTab a hard time, but I have to give much respect to them tonight. The routine was saucy and sexy. Brandon continues to kill everything he's given on the show. I really want to see Janette do salsa now. I wonder if they got anyone to replace Alex?

Trust my rage

So I just now got around to seeing this week's Top Chef Masters. I enjoyed seeing Wilo Benet. I've eaten at Paya a few times - good food for the most part. I also learned something about tripleta - something I've never eaten because street vendors make me just a tiny bit nervous, especially when I'm not sure what I'm getting. The French guy was annoying.

eta: Oh, and Wilo's charity is the foundation associated with the hospital that kicked Ellie out because we didn't fork over 3K upfront. Everyone says it's a great hospital; htat just wasn't our experience.

What was it that Cat said about a show re-airing for the Michael Jackson tribute?

American Idol did a MJ night this past season, so they are re-airing it. The song choices weren't great, but it's worth seeing Adam Lambert doing "Black and White" and I have a bizarre fondness for the "Dirty Diana" number.

Thanks to Amy, I had a creepy horror movie dream/nightmare last night. Sadly, there was no appearance by Gregory Peck.

Oh dear.

Nigel's eulogy about MJ was very sweet, actually.

Alexis' Dirty Diana was a great performance. And MJ night was the first time that I noticed that Kris Allen had a little something something going on. And that was back when I still liked Gokey and found enjoyment in Lil Rounds. And of course, Adam was a ball of wonderful and Matt G. gave one of the few performances I could stomach from him. AI MJ night was good stuff. Well, if you take out Tattoo Sleeve, but that was true for her entire run of the show.

I can't remember, what did he sing?

I just remember thinking when I heard someone was doing B&W was that it would be awful, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is that going to be on tonight?

Kris sang "Do You Remember the Time" and he played guitar. I just hated him doing MJ in the semifinals and I remember not expecting much from him. And this performance was far from perfect, the whole back half of the song was a shouty mess, but the front end was lovely and I just recall kind of going "Huh. He's not half bad. And he's fine, too."
