MJ night was the first time that I noticed that Kris Allen had a little something something going on.
I can't remember, what did he sing?
I just remember thinking when I heard someone was doing B&W was that it would be awful, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Is that going to be on tonight?
Kris sang "Do You Remember the Time" and he played guitar. I just hated him doing MJ in the semifinals and I remember not expecting much from him. And this performance was far from perfect, the whole back half of the song was a shouty mess, but the front end was lovely and I just recall kind of going "Huh. He's not half bad. And he's fine, too."
I was SO glad they got rid of Jonathan. But I was torn, because I really love Caitlin's solos, but just can't get behind her and Jason as a couple, so kinda wanted him to go because I want to see her with someone else. Ah well.
I loved the Brandon/Jeanette hip-hop, was pleased that Kupono and Kayla didn't suck as bad as I feared (though...ANOTHER barefoot waltz? WTF?) and enjoyed the faux-paso doble as spectacle, though not as any sort of actual paso doble. I felt like the Mia booty dance was fun, but Randi needed just a *touch* more ...something. Relaxation? Booty? Smirkiness? And Evan needed slightly smaller PJs.
And was Phillip sucking in the second half of his number due to the ripped pants? Or just because he was sucking?
I REALLY loved the Dmitri/NappyTab group dance--wish I could've watched it from more camera angles than I got, over and over, so much fun!
I just rewatched the Michael Jackson
American Idol.
Basically, the ones that I thought were worth hearing again were the final five, except switching out Alexis Grace for Danny Gokey. In keeping with the MJ theme, Alexis really was "gone too soon".
BTW, Kari from Mythbusters had a baby girl.
The Food Network Challenge that CJ and I saw live is now on rerun rotation. It is the Ice Age Challenge.
They don't show more than a couple of audience shots - none of either of us. But it was cool watching the show, there were lots of things going on that we didn't see/hear. Plus there was other stuff that seemed like a bigger deal when it was happening, but they glossed over it in editing.
Casting Call for the new Bravo reality show "Art Project."
