It's called a blaster, Will, a word that tends to discourage experimentation. Now, if it were called the Orgasmater, I'd be the first to try your basic button press approach.

I have favorites, for sure! But this is my first season, so. I'm just wowed by all of it, really, although there have been a few routines I liked less than others in terms of choreography.

Janette and Brandon are totally my favorites this season. They have brought it each week. But I agree with megan on the lack of Wow factor. Everyone is just kind of generically good. Well, almost everyone. I think Jonathan is actually a pretty bad dancer (given the level of the show, not in real life) and Phillip is only good in his style. Everyone else seems really solid, but I'm not in love with anyone yet. There's no one who, if they got voted off, I'd be gutted.

Oh, and if folks care to play along at home, my blog for last night's performance show is here.

So, tonight I am hoping Jonathan and Asuka go; I'd settle for Caitlin. After week 1 I was for keeping Asuka, but she hasn't brought it for me and I really like Vitolio and would love to see him paired with someone stronger. (I also think if Karla had been paired with, say, Brandon, that hip-hip could have been good!) I also wouldn't be sad to see Kupono or Jason go; they are okay, but not doing anything for me.

I still need to go watch what I missed from yesterday, Ethan/Randi and Kupono/Kayla.

I agree with kat! I feel so, uh, right!

Philip is proving to be the Twitch of this season; I had hoped he'd do better. I actually like him much better than I liked Twitch, but he just hasn't got the chops. He may well make top 10 on charm alone, though, and like Twitch, go far once it's all audience votes.

So, will SYTYCD acknowledge Jackson's death tonight, and if so, how? There's not time to do a number - might they next week? Several of the dancers over the years have noted being inspired by him.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see at least a few of the dancers moonwalking on that stage tonight.

I was just thinking the same thing while watching the Motown performance of Billie Jean!!

They did a piece when Cyd Charisse passed, so I'd be surprised if they don't at least give a shout out to MJ tonight or next week for sure. So, so sad.

The piece Caitlin and Jason danced to ... what horror movie was that in? I want to say The Omen, but I'm not sure. It was ... weird to see people dancing to it. For me.
