The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I kind of disagree. Yes, his walk needs a hell of a lot of work, but the progress Branden made over the season was phenomenal, and those last shots were incredible. Both Sandhurst and Jonathan got a hell of a lot out of the show, (and I suspect they won't have much trouble finding jobs), but in terms of being *made* into a supermodel, I think Branden was the right choice.

This. Jonathan got great exposure, and I think he's going to get plenty of work, but I do think Branden's look is more versatile. Sandhurst will no doubt be successful, too, but I think Perkins is right about Branden being molded.

I also think he really did grow up a LOT in the few months he was there, and I personally think more than just those last shots were gorgeous.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I also think Jonathan got that desperate-to-win that never works out. He did already book that underwear job, and seems pretty commercial (is that what they meant by "lifestyle"?), so I can see him working a lot. I think the "generic" hurt him in the competition, but wouldn't in the real world.

I believed Corey when he said he'd sign any one of them, and wonder if he won't sign all of them.

Yes, this. He played it way too safe the past few episodes, and that final photo shoot was not nearly as flattering for him as it was for Brandon and even Sandhurst, who has also improved a lot over the course of the competition. Compare Sandhurst's final headshot with the mirror one, and you can see a huge change.

As much as I was totally shocked that Brandon won, there is also the element of his being so young that worked in his favor. As good as Jonathan is, he's on the edge of being too old to break out big in modeling. And Sandhurst is capable of good photos, but he didn't have enough of them in his portfolio to win.

Brandon needs to work on his facial expressions, though, especially on the catwalk. His go-to sneer was getting really old by the end of the show.

ETA: And I actually noticed when Sandhurst screwed up that final catwalk! Normally I don't realize good from bad, but that was a big mistake from the moment he stepped out on the catwalk and didn't bother buttoning the suit at any point during his walk.

I just couldn't understand why the stylists, etc., didn't understand that they TOTALLY screwed up Jonathan's hair. That color really didn't suit him.

What also surprised me was how tall Branden must be! He's taller than Sandhurst!

I wonder if the jacket was too small? It kind of looked like it at some point.

When we saw Sandhurst from the back as he was leaving the catwalk, the jacket was definitely too short by at least two-three inches (hit him just above mid-butt), so I wouldn't be surprised if it was too small to button. Good catch, Jesse!

Or at least too small to look good buttoned. I'm sure Sandhurst's not being sample size was a factor for him overall.

That's a really good point. Jonathan and Sandhurst both came in a long stronger, but (J esp) weren't that far from their baseline by the end. And I do think Sandhurst's body shape was a deal breaker in a lot of ways.

Maybe he can go on SYTYCD next year!
