Oh man, my friend totally sold me out on the TAR finale cast party! I forgot about it, until I just saw all the pictures on Facebook.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Do you think a savvy competitor on American Idol might actually want to come in 2nd or 3rd - get a big fan base, lots of name recognition, but avoid the actual recording contract that might be kind of restrictive? Or are lower-finishers bound by a contract option as well?
every single top 24 contestant is potentially bound by the same 19E contract. they get first dibs on everyone. so this whole "not winning means they'll be less restricted" business is bunk.
Christ, McKey is so bad -- both in the ads AND on the runway.
The going-home trips always make me sniffly. Imagine going away and coming back to your city a few months later to a PARADE. Surreal.
Crap, I just realized I bet I won't have room for the ANTM first season marathon on Sunday, because I'm going out of town, and already have a bunch of stuff sitting on the DVR.
Jesse, right? awful walk.
I was happy with either on ANTM. STill amazed at how blah Allyson came to panel each week.
OMG, the way they drag this out is annoying as hell. And yet, I have nothing else to watch while waiting for Supermodel, so.
I was happy with either on ANTM.
Yeah, mostly I just didn't care. Although they did a decent job across the hour of making me think it wouldn't be Teyona (sp?) a couple of times.
So, Adam sounded great in the clip of him singing the national anthem and I think it would be great if he did that on stage rather than always going for the high note.
Also, it's not just the To 24 or 36 or whatever that are bound by rules, almost anyone who signs up to be on the show signs some of their rights away. From an earlier season (I don't know which, maybe the first or second?) there was a chick who rode on a scooter, nicknamed Scooter Girl. I don't think she made it to the 24, but the scooter company wanted to use her for promotions and she couldn't because 19E refused.
Adam and Kris final! I was hoping for that. It would be interesting if Kris managed to sneak in and win the whole thing after all the talk being Danny and Adam.
