Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

Heee. Yeah, I almost changed the channel, but I was too lazy.

Awwww, Allison is going home. I'm sad, but I figured it would be her or Danny tonight. I wish she could still get the hometown parade, though, I think she really deserves it.

Ya know, I'm pretty damn sure she is going to have a very succesful recording career, nonetheless. God, she can give Joplin a run for her money.

Thrive to spite them

I thought it was her or Kris tonight.

I hope she has a hell of a career, she's got an amazing voice. I know she got harped on for having no personality but both when she was singing and when she was doing the interview stuff I kept forgetting she was 16, well now she's 17.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is why modeling shows are interesting: I think Jordan (MMaSM) looks so weird and busted in motion and talking, but she sure can take a picture. Unlike my girl Aminat (ANTM).

Because books.

I agree, Jesse.

I also don't get these judges -- they're criticizing pictures that the photographer and Tyson and Nicole really loved. And I've never understood how they can tell one, for instance, "You look better head-on instead of in profile," when the model doesn't get a vote on the photo.

It would be really interesting if they got to pick their own photos -- not something real models get to do, of course, but it would really tell you who knows what they are doing and who's just getting lucky shots.

Edit: Or, not what they are doing, but the theory/eye stuff.

Jesse has all my thoughts on Supermodel!

I gotta say, if they keep Perou or whatever around next season, I may not watch. I can't stand him, and not in the fun, "Oh, shut up, Simon" way.

Yes, I always think this on ANTM too--wasn't there one time they DID get to pick a photo, or something? Because there are many times I doubt the judges are actually picking the BEST photo, and think they're instead really picking a photo just to illustrate whatever point they want to make.

I was kinda sad (but unsurprised) to see Celia go. I don't want Allison to win, though. So does that mean Aminat has any chance? She *does* have a gorgeous body and her skin just GLOWS. Teyona (whose name I had to look up) continues to be so freaky looking that I just can't get into her winning, so...meh. I was really rooting for Fo, I think, and now that she's gone, am not a big fan of anyone.

(MMaSM hasn't aired yet on this coast, so no opinions there, yet)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

ANTM - I was hoping for Celia to make it into the top three. I figured she couldn't win - she's too "old" (25 is, what - 55 in model years?). But the girl really knew fashion. I'm not really rooting for anyone at this point - they've gotten rid of the bitches and some of the more interesting people. Allison's odd, but it was interesting to see how long she kind of coasted on photographing well and then, suddenly, she "got" it (something in the air in Sao Paolo?). eh ... time will tell.

And sometimes I get impatient with the girls getting over-emotional about something, until I remember how YOUNG they are - they're all, I think, under 20. I kind of remember being that age ....
