Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I think the boys have got a lock on AI this year, there weren't any girls that really made me sit up and say I think she can win. I'm still iffy on names, but the one guy that really stuck in my mind was named Matt, played keyboard.

Oh, hah, I'm watching him right now while I'm reading. I like his buddy too, and I'd like to see him get through. But he's not at the same level.

Yeah, there's still a lot of room between the good and the best. There's still some paring to be done to get it down to the better and best. I just hope they finally get rid of Tatiana, she's about gotten on my last nerve.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Carla was a model? Did not see that coming. Granted, she's in her 40s, so I can see how back in the day she may have had that look.

Winning over Stefan with Green Eggs and Ham? Fucking PRICELESS! Hope she rocks the house for Jacque.

Punishingly Intricate

my recording of Top Chef skipped from Leah bringing her dish out (1st course) to Fabio bringing his dish out (4th). What the hell!

I'm glad Fabio rocked it though! That might have to be my last meal too. Maybe mashed potatoes though. yum.

I think Stefan just screwed the pooch! Much as I would like Leah gone (not Carla), I'd LOVE Stefan out of there. It would probably be Carla's to lose at that point, and I'm now so pulling for her.

Because books.

If Carla wins the whole thing, I will get merrily drunk and write her a ridiculous fan letter.

Fabio is so adorable, though. I mean, he broke his finger! "I'll cut it off and sear it on the stovetop! I'm not going to the hospital!" Man, he is awesome for soundbites.

And I agree, Jacques Pepin is charming and wonderful.
