I think Stefan just screwed the pooch! Much as I would like Leah gone (not Carla), I'd LOVE Stefan out of there. It would probably be Carla's to lose at that point, and I'm now so pulling for her.

Because books.

If Carla wins the whole thing, I will get merrily drunk and write her a ridiculous fan letter.

Fabio is so adorable, though. I mean, he broke his finger! "I'll cut it off and sear it on the stovetop! I'm not going to the hospital!" Man, he is awesome for soundbites.

And I agree, Jacques Pepin is charming and wonderful.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Man, he is awesome for soundbites.

"I always said I could cook with one hand behind my back, but I wasn't intending to prove it." HAH!

Glad Leah's gone. Even more happy for Fabio and Carla. Stefan ... well, he's earned his keep. I'd dump Hosea off a bridge to have Jamie back, though.

Yes, this.

Stefan is a fantastic chef, but he always fucks up when he's overconfident, to the point that he thinks he has no competition. A little humility goes a long way.

This, and I suspect he's not going to be making that mistake going forward. EVERYONE, including me, has underrated Carla. If she didn't seem so genuine, I'd suspect rope-a-dope on her part. But she's the only one who doesn't seem to talk smack about anyone.

Carla really freaked me out in the beginning. She's a total weirdo. But she's steadily won me over in the last several episodes, and I think she has a pretty good shot.

Sean is me. She was so annoying in the beginning, but she's really stepped up recently.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I suspect that it's an edit, and maybe in response to questions, but I'm getting really annoyed with Hosea's Stefan issues. All he does he say "I have to beat Stefan, he's not as good as he thinks, etc." I'm sad, because I liked Hosea in the beginning, but he's turning (or has already turned)into a total douche.

I don't think that anybody but Leah could have gone home. She was absolutely the weakest chef of the four. Although I will say that if the salmon had been overcooked by anyone but Stefan, it would have been a dealbreaker. I suspect that Tom advocated hard for Stefan. They are made from the same mold.

I think she totally hit her stride and stopped overthinking and under-stepping up. Her goofiness has been totally endearing and not annoying to me the last couple of eps.
