A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Art Crawl!!!

Hee.

I suspected that Jeff was getting the loser edit when everytime he was speaking the signal for bravo would break up.

Seeing Stefan lose to Andrea was sweet.

Oh, and it was also very nice to see Carla win.

Yes, it was. I think I like her, but she's a "small dose" kind of person.

And, nice to see that Spike is still a douchebag (and how much did I love the scorecard - Top Chef 5 v. Douches) I feel validated for not eating in his restaurant even though I walked by it the other day.

Carla has definitely grown on me. Some of the stuff she says makes me laugh out loud. Not quite as loudly as "monkey butt stuffed with fried bananas", but still.

Punishingly Intricate

Carla actually didn't bug me this episode. I think because she really stepped up and was confident. I loved her reaction to her win!

I don't usually subscribe to the producer intervention conspiracy theories, but Fabio hasn't cooked anything really good in a LONG time.

Yeah I love him, of course, but he hasn't been actually cooking well in a while.

True, but other people have cooked bad stuff, so he's skated by.

Jeff doesn't know how to edit. He does too much, and all of it is okay, instead of doing a few things well.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yup. There's always one of that type, it seems. And they always do well until midseason because when there are 4 things on a plate, one of them will almost always be better than someone else's 1 mistake.

Man, I really wanted Leah to go. That is my big disappointment.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of starting to dislike her a little bit. Her demeanor and lack of fire are getting annoying.

I very much enjoyed Stefan losing so decisively. And I am sure that I was not alone, either in the audience or the Top Chef kitchen.
