Oh man I like Eugene but he's very lucky Daniel was delusional about the food. What a mess!! And Carla not speaking up in the beginning drove me batty!

What else could they have done for New? I was thinking of something w/ new potatoes and baby vegetables. I don't know about the protein though.

New York something! Strip steak, for example.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Oh man I like Eugene but he's very lucky Daniel was delusional about the food. What a mess!!

I think it was clear Eugene new things were going wrong and was trying to salvage it, whereas Daniel was in full-on denial. The judges seem to be making the distinction this season a bit more than they have in some seasons past.

I really didn't understand why he didn't just make more rice! It's not like it takes that long. I wonder if the producers wouldn't let him.

Also, about last night's challenge, man that lamb and carrot dish looked delicious! But Jaime was being a brat about thinking she should win.

Oh and what the heck was the spice blend that they used in the carrots? I can kind of say it in my head but can't approximate the spelling well enough to look it up on the internets.

Tom asked that same question in his blog (at least the first part; he didn't mention the producers).
