Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, that was very weird. At least they had finished dishes to sample.

I also wish they would have explained what happened there at the end with Jeff's dish.

Art Crawl!!!

Me too. That was very odd.

Of course, of the bottom three, they could have picked any one of them so far as I was concerned.

I watched real time. . .okay I watched the 10 Central showing but I'm not w&Ping because it's a hassle. (And I'm trying to work on yarn-based projects while watching tv which getting up and racing to the dining room to post doesn't really help.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When they came back from the commercial and jumped right into the live demos I thought I'd missed an act. Turns out they were just rushing through so we could watch the Today Show segment. Whatev. I called Mr Creme Brulee as the loser the moment the word "dessert" came out of his mouth.

Honestly, I thought it was a stupid challenge for this show. This isn't NFNS.

Art Crawl!!!

Right. It was an unsatisfactory episode.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Honestly, I thought it was a stupid challenge for this show. This isn't NFNS.

My thoughts exactly.

Because books.

I watched in real time, but I was sort of unmotivated to post. The whole episode was sort of blah. Tom's reaction to Kathie Lee spitting out Jeff's ... whatever that was, was pretty priceless, though.

I will say they gave the chefs plenty of room to hang themselves, though. No direction or restrictions except "make a dish." And Creme Brulee guy certainly learned his lesson.

The promos are getting confusing, though, in terms of what's for the next episode and what's for the season. I thought *this* episode was going to have Martha Stewart and Padma breaking some kind of dramatic news.

The promos don't bother me nearly as much as the random interstitials/outtakes/I don't know what to call them because they are confusing to me! Is Bravo doing this with all of their shows now, or did they just not know how to work the Leah/Hosea thing into the main show?

Yeah, that was bizarre. I thought that the show was back and then we went right to another ad. Very strange.

Punishingly Intricate

Served him right too after his assy remark in the back about those "women" and their unsophisticated palates. Jerkoff.

Is Bravo doing this with all of their shows now, or did they just not know how to work the Leah/Hosea thing into the main show?

They've done two Leah/Hosea ones now and then last week they had one about the dude with the weird facial hair being a messy eater and Jamie's disgust with him. I guess they are trying to work in more contestant "drama" now or something?
