I'd like to see people who are maybe halfway there. They have pieces but they don't know how to pull it all together. People who want (note my use of the word "want") to learn how to complete a look, how to accessorize, etc.
that's a good market too. A lot of times, I think that they pick them worst cases because it makes the watchers feel better about themselves "well, at least I don't wear
that
"
A nice segment might be "show Tim your 10 pieces, and he'll show you how to make them fabulous"
um....?
Sorry. Tim called her on her attitude, and she was like, "I might not be DESPERATE like some woman in MIDDLE AMERICA because I live in Manhattan and have a RICH HUSBAND so FUCK YOU anyone who doesn't wear GUCCI."
(possibly not a direct quote.)

I KNOW! what a bitch. I was thinking about that this morning as I was trying to get dressed.
I may not have Gucci but at least I don't look like a mutton trying to dress like an 18-year old bikini model. In stretch silver thighhigh boots.
Instead of taking clueless people who have nothing in their closets that can be used, I'd like to see people who are maybe halfway there. This is a show my mother and I have wanted to see for YEARS. Like normal people, we have a lot of stuff that's fine, some stuff that's really good, some stuff that's really bad. And speaking for myself, I hardly accessorize at all, and I never layer.
I love how Tim and Gretta were like, "Come ON. We're in Neiman-Marcus! Even the less-fancy floor is PRETTY EFFING FANCY."
I'd love that!
really, it could be a 5 minute thing where viewers send in pics of the pieces or them wearing the pieces, and Tim would do a John Madden thing with a pen, adding a scarf or saying "get the skirt tailored to this length" or whatever.

I'm sure you're right. They pick the people that will provide the AMAZING REVEAL. But, personally, I feel like I've already seen that show so often that I'm bored.
On Top Design, Jeff Lewis continues to crack my ass up. I have definitely grown to appreciate him over the seasons of Flipping Out.
He was WONDERFUL. And thank GOD, Eddie is gone.
oh dang it! I forgot I hadn't watched the last 1/2 hour of Top Design and just spoiled myself! I was worried at Todd's walkthrough though that it might be Nathan.
